Blue Spot Tools 22443 6 PCE Parallel Pin Punch

Worked perfectly and can handle a good beating

I needed a set of punches to drift out bearings from my mountain bike frames, given that it had very limited clearance on the lip for access with a blind bearing puller. Half dozen taps and both earings were eased out. Definitely fit for their intended purpose and pretty good value for money. I can't comment on their overall hardness and strength, but given that I won't be reusing the bearings, it's a moot point. No markings or indentation on the tool itself.

Low quality but good for occasional use

These are the second set of Blue Spot tools that I have bought. I bought these based on my experience of the first set of Blue Spot tools. As a professional engineer I have had a number of sets of pin punches and these appear to be as good as any others that I have had. It is important when working with the smaller diameter punches to understand that their primary purpose is to remove correctly installed and maintained pins i.e. not heavily corroded or driven in with a sledgehammer. If one mistreats them they will bend. I am extremely pleased with the quality of these punches. They are well made and within the tolerance one would expect for this type of tool. The canvas tool roll that they come in keeps them tidy.

Bought these to get seized pins out of a brembo brake system after trying different things, worked a treat after using them.

Good quality, does what it says

Bought to knock some bearings out and also some cotter pins. Used the larger parallel punch for the bearing and mushroomed the parallel end. Thought that the larger punch would be of more resilient material. The rest of the punches suitable for the job in hand. Only given 4 stars due to the large punch mushrooming.
