MemphisAudio PRX570C Power Reference Series 5x7 Component Speakers with 1" Tweeters - Pair

There's not much out there in this size that isn't $200 or more. For the price, they are a significant upgrade from the stock speakers/tweeters with much improved clarity and bass accuracy............but you REALLY need an amp to get the most out.Even saying that, the treble accuracy is phenomenal!With just the stock headunit, they sound less loud than stock, have less bass and begin to distort after 3/4th volume. Except foe the lack of bass, all this is resolved with a proper amp. As for the lack of bass, these seem to be designed intended as part of a 4.1 system.Install an amp and install a sub.

After blowing Alpine and Infinity 5 x 7s in the doors of my F150 my audio guy suggested that I put components next if I wanted to take my sound to the next level. Boy was he right! Nice tight bass backed by soaring highs bring back the Rocking 80's. Matched with a Alpine Double Din deck and Alpine 4 x 50 amp and with a small 300 watt single powered sub it sounds like Ive spent thousands.

I did not purchase these through Amazon, but will purchase a second set to add to the rear. They add an entirely new dimension to any kind of music. It sounds like the musician is literally in the car with you. Using an aftermarket head unit I can easily overpower any noise with the top down while remaining extremely clear and crisp !! No instructions are included, but with any installation experience these are a snap to put in. The kit comes with more than enough wire to get the job done. Before install I would make sure to figure out stereo wiring color codes for positive and negative wires. Memphis speakers use different size connectors on their end for a foolproof install. To flush mount the tweeters as I did you will need a 1 13/16 hole saw for a snug fit. I used a 1 3/4 hole saw and a die grinder to get a perfect fit.
