This battery is a huge upgrade from the OEM battery in the Wii U gamepad. I was able to easily replace it with the screwdriver provided. I tried using the sticky pad to keep it in place however when screwing down the cover I noticed it was sort of bulging out from the added height. After taking off the sticky pad it was normal and there really isn't any rattle from the battery anyway.

This is ridiculously easy to install. It comes with the screwdriver. You just fully remove the back (just screws holding in place. No wires. No issues) then stick this one in and close it up. I have the oldest model of Wii U. I ordered it as soon as orders became available. This battery fit in and worked with mine with no issue.It’s great. It charges quickly. I know I’m in the minority, but I love the Wii U and used to kill the battery all the time. I love the enhanced battery life of this unit.

The new battery really improved my Wii U GamePad’s battery life—before, it drained so quickly I had to keep it plugged in. Now, I can play without constantly charging. The only downside was the included tools, which were terrible. I ended up using an eyeglass repair kit from Dollar Tree instead. Still, the battery works great, so I’m happy overall!

The first battery I received was well-packaged but unfortunately didn’t hold a charge at all. I contacted Amazon, and they quickly sent me a replacement, instructing me to discard the defective one. It was great not having to deal with the hassle of returning it, and the new battery has been perfect!Installation was super easy—just loosen two screws, unplug the old battery, insert the new one, and tighten the screws. I saw some other reviews mention that the battery didn’t fit properly, but I had no issues at all. There was plenty of room, and everything fit as expected.The longest we’ve used it without charging was at least 10 hours, and it still had a good amount of battery left. I place the gamepad on the dock at night, and it lasts the entire next day without needing a recharge until bedtime. My kids are thrilled they can play whenever they want now. Definitely worth the purchase!

I'm not sure if the problem has been ongoing since I don't use my Wii U Gamepad often, but it's been having issues. There are times where, even on a full charge, the battery starts at 1 bar, a flashing red battery light, and then dies 5 to 10 minutes later. Despite it "dying", I'm still able to turn it on with the same issue mentioned previously. Sometimes I would unplug and plug my charger over and over and it could last longer, but if I were to plug it back in after doing that successfully, it goes back to 1 bar then dying. Re-connecting the battery to the gamepad only temporarily fixes this issue. I don't want to keep the back piece off 24/7. If customer support could help me out I'd change my rating, but for now, please don't waste your time on this. Talking about the 8000 mAh battery.

Not sure why, but the original Wii-U gamepad battery is tiny. The battery compartment however is designed to take these much larger batteries. After many years, my gamepad was down to like 15 minutes of runtime. With the new battery, I actually have no idea how long it lasts because it lasted the whole weekend of gaming I did up at the cabin.

If you are having doubts and read some of the negative reviews as I have, I decided to take the plunge on this battery and let me tell you. I am very impressed. This batter was not only easy to install but I'm on hour 7 and I'm still at 3 quarters on the battery gauge.

I got this as a replacement for my aging battery in my Wii U Gamepad. It had been running out in a couple of hours, very annoying when you're in the middle of a game. I got this replacement in part due to its capacity, and WOW - I can play all evening now, and still have some charge left! And swapping it out was SO easy, my 11 yo granddaughter could have done it (with minor supervision). It fit perfectly, just rotated 90 degrees from the original battery - NB. It's been in place for a week now, played daily, no issues. Totally recommended.
