Amazing bargain, a wonderful tasting pulse.
These are about half the size of large yellow chickpeas. They are a dark nut brown in colour. The skins are a little tougher than yellow chickpeas and they are firmer. They taste delicious. You can tell that they're a cousin to the yellow chick pea, but they are somehow just a bit more flavourful and a little less floury. Amazing in stews, soups, drained and dressed for salads, making hummus (which turns out a light creamy brown instead of being pale yellow as with normal chick peas, but tastes absolutely superb).... Very versatile and convenient. And what a bargain these are!

Good value great taste
I love these chickpeas. So easy to add to a meal to extend it and these have a lovely nutty flavour. Will buy again soon!

CHANA
These are smaller than regular chickpeas and brown. They taste ok but personally I prefer the other yellow larger kind. I am sure these will be good in a curry but not sure how versatile they will be in other types of cooking.

An essential part of my diabetic diet
As a diabetic, black chick peas are a large part of my diet. They are a great source of protein and high in fibre. They help manage cholesterol levels and promote weight loss. High in oxidants, they taste delicious prepared as a curry, part of a stir fry or even just eaten boiled. I have tried many brands of black chick peas, but I have to say the KTC brand is the best. This large pack came at a wonderful price of under £5. A highly recommended food product.

Smaller, darker versions of a chickpea, they are a slightly softer texture but every bit as nice.
These are smaller, darker versions of a chickpea, they are a slightly softer texture but every bit as nice. They do come in salty water but that can be rinsed off, drained and then used in any dish that you would use normal sized chickpeas be it from a chickpea salad to a curried dish or added to soups and stews. The price of this pack of 12 cans is a very good value & less than 2/3 of the price per can than normal chickpeas. (So far made a salad dish with them and Chickpea burgers and they are spot on, why pay more when these are just as nice, and I will try a hummus with them).

Excellent price!
Fast delivery and great price! We use three tins per meal/curry with potatoes and that feeds three of us so for the price this is excellent!

Damaged on arrival
Great value as is ability to buy in bulk - however this package had been dropped from a height as all 12 tins are badly dented !
