Sam Edelman Women's Trina Heeled Sandal

I am in love with these sandals. I have the world's pickiest feet and reject at least 90% of the shoes I try on. These are the first Sam Edelman shoes I have ever tried. These sandals are winners for me because they are so unexpectedly comfortable and look absolutely gorgeous on (in bright metallic silver.) I get numerous compliments on them every time I wear them, and they are appropriate both for my professional (summer business casual) office and for everyday wear. They work because the footbed is smooth and well cushioned (I could personally use just a tad more metatarsal padding, but I am an extreme case) and they have a semi-rigid sole which reduces pressure on the foot joints. Also, I have a slightly wide-ish forefoot so I was worried about the strap across the front being too tight or rubbing. The genius of the design is that this strap actually goes across ABOVE the widest part of your foot, so there is no fit issue at all. Length is true to size. And they are just so darn cute with the perfect height heel! Great quality shoe and beautiful finish on the mirror metallic leather. I am so thrilled I took a chance (and got them for an amazing price - 60% less than the price elsewhere for the same sandals.) I HIGHLY recommend these!

So I'm usually a 7.5 but I ordered an 8 since I heard it ran small. Thank goodness because it fit just right when I wore it. I heard great reviews from people raving that this shoe was THE sandal you could walk to china in and still feel great.. Well to be honest, it really depends on your feet. When I took a nice long walk with this sandal, oh man did it cut me up so bad. I had raw skin, it hurt A LOT and I couldn't walk afterwards. Naturally I had very little intentions to wear this sandal again but hey, it was so cute with its gold block heel that I did wear it again, and yes I got cut up again. Not as badly as the first. It took a few wears before it soften to the point where it seemed to recognize my foot shape and conformed perfectly. I'm not sure if the suffering was worth it but after I broke it in (and broke my feet..) it DID make the perfect walking sandal. :D My mom and sister ordered a different Sam Edelman sandal and they didn't have this issue where their feet was torn apart so I can't be certain if it was my foot or the sandal. But in all, it's a beautiful warm honey chocolate brown and it was comfortable after I wore it in! :) Wish I got it for cheaper though, so my pain would've been more justifiable.

I was absolutely thrilled with this purchase immediately upon arrival! These are truly a beautiful and functional little sandal. They are high quality and it shows in the details. The coordinated (but not 'matchy') leathers are soft and on-trend; the metallic heel adds an unexpected and dressy flash! They fit true-to-size and the padded insole is comfortable under foot. The leather is soft and was comfortable right out of the box. The heel height is very modest but enough to make these appropriate for pants/capris and skirts (while still being walkable!)

I loved these shoes for the last 2 summers. They are very cute, versatile, and extremely (surprisingly!) comfortable. My first pair lasted through months of heavy wear- I wore them almost exclusively from spring through early fall. Finally they broke the next summer- totally understandable.Unfortunately the second pair I bought was of noticeably poorer quality and began fraying almost immediately. Within a couple of weeks they were unwearable, they looked so bad. This was my third pair, and I only gambled again because the price was marked down. The quality seemed on first inspection like the original good quality, and they haven't frayed at all, but the front strap broke abruptly after less than a dozen wears. Shame- a waste of money. Even though these are my favorite sandals by a mile that I've ever owned, I've learned my lesson and won't be purchasing Sam Edelman shoes again. For the price, these should last more than a few wears.

The shoes are cute and comfy, but I wouldn't order them in black. I ordered a pair and after wearing them for half a day I noticed that the side of the sole was chipping. It's paint black and when the paint chips off it reveals the wooden sole underneath. It was normal wear, they didn't get banged up, it's just a cheap paint job along the wedge. The chips were really obvious looking and made the shoes look really banged up. Amazon sent me a new pair and those arrived already looking like that, so I just returned them. They are cute shoes though so I would consider ordering them in the natural colour because those ones don't have a painted edge on the sole so they wouldn't have that issue.Some reviews said they ordered a half size up. I ordered my normal size and also a half size up to compare. My normal size was a smidge small, but the half size up was too loose which made walking a bit uncomfortable as my foot would slide around the shoe. I'd still stick with my normal size if I were to reorder.

Pretty much the perfect summer sandal. I've already got a ton of compliments on them...even from men who never notice things like shoes! They fit very securely to my foot and unlike other sandals with straps, I didn't get a single friction burn or blister. The sole of the shoe it covered in cork, meaning they are super comfortable against the bottom of your foot. Oh and the height is ideal. I think I could walk all day in these shoes.One note though...the red color is a lot less intense than it is in the photo here. I was expecting something richer, but it's kind of a weathered red color, if that makes sense. Still lovely and they still have that pop factor when it comes to color.
