Repetitive dungeon crawler.
Love this game! It’s a dungeon crawler that can feel a bit repetitive but is fun if you have the patience and determination!

Longtime ARPG Lover - This game hits the spot!
If you're looking for a cozy ARPG for the Switch, this is gonna be your jam. My ARPG credentials go back decades to Diablo II, Titan Quest, Diablo III, Torchlight 1 & 2, Grim Dawn, and others I'm probably forgetting by this point. I've spent easily 3000+ hours grinding ARPGS, absolutely one of my favorite genres. Each character has a base class and two advanced classes to play around with, each coming with three different skills that synergy with each other. My favorite thing; each character has two health potions, and the only way to restock is to return to base. But there are crystals on most levels where you can swap your character out for one of the other six, effectively giving you 14hp pots total for a dungeon run. I've also noticed that when you level a character up higher than the others, the grind is slower, but the others will catch up FAST, so they can all stay on track with each other easily enough. Please try it! Edit: I will come back and edit this review if It doesn't hold up, but from what I've found I have 3 more story dungeons after this one, and two post-game dungeons. I work full time and have a family, so I can't no-life the game, but for a few hours a day it's a blast! Oh! And I know each character having 3 skills doesn't sound like a lot, but remember you're effectively taking all 7 into the dungeon each time. You have 21 skills available to keep it fresh, but only 3 are available at a time.

Great experience
Was very surprised I got the actual day one with box and all the goodies. Been having a casual fun blast with the game. The manual, art book, and CD are a treat and are so well put together Ive been scared to actually use them lol

Charming Dungeon Crawler with Depth
Gameplay and Features: Silent Hope is an action RPG that combines classic isometric dungeon crawling with modern mechanics. Players can choose from seven unique heroes, each with distinct fighting styles, such as the well-rounded Wanderer, long-range Archer, or heavy-hitting Warrior. This variety encourages experimentation and caters to different playstyles. The game features procedurally generated dungeons within the Abyss, ensuring that each expedition offers a fresh experience. As players delve deeper, they encounter increasingly challenging enemies and uncover the game’s narrative, which is narrated by the Princess, adding a fairy tale-like quality to the storytelling. Between dungeon runs, players return to the Base Camp, where each hero assumes a unique role, such as alchemist, blacksmith, or cook. This system adds layers of depth to character progression and resource management, enhancing the overall gameplay loop. Pros: • Diverse Character Selection: Seven heroes with unique fighting styles provide varied combat experiences and replayability. • Engaging Dungeon Exploration: Procedurally generated dungeons keep exploration fresh and challenging. • Charming Aesthetic: The storybook art style and narration create an enchanting atmosphere. • Base Camp Mechanics: Assigning roles to heroes adds depth to progression and resource management. Cons: • Repetitive Gameplay Loop: Some players may find the dungeon-crawling and resource gathering becomes monotonous over time. • Limited Character Development: While each hero has a unique fighting style, their personalities and backstories are minimally explored. • Inventory Management: Managing items and resources can become cumbersome, potentially disrupting the gameplay flow. Conclusion: Silent Hope: Day One Edition offers a charming and engaging dungeon-crawling experience with its diverse character selection, procedurally generated dungeons, and enchanting art style. However, potential buyers should be aware of the repetitive gameplay loop and limited character development. Overall, it’s a delightful addition to the action RPG genre, particularly for those who appreciate a fairy tale aesthetic and varied combat mechanics.

Cute, addicting Diablo II-eques dungeon crawler
I had been waiting for this game since I first saw it at the Marvelous booth at PAX. It looked interesting and there was something nostalgic about it. It uses graphics based off the Rune Factory franchise, a plus in my book It's a fun game that is easy to pick up and is not punishing to play, not to say it's it's unchallenging. The levels do get repetitive and the crafting system is quite shallow, imho. It's still a good game and it's nice having 7 playable characters with multiple skill trees. However several class are not as fun or effective to play, but ymmv based on playstyle. If you are craving a procedural dungeon crawler with a random loot system this is a great pick.

If you like grinding levels and equipment in a simple rpg without too much story then you should like this. The game doesn't really get grindy until the post game, I played the story with almost no grinding

This game definitely scratches the itch of old school MapleStory. It's kind of a mindless grind and upgraded character sort of game. I really enjoy it but the levelling steep is quite high. You start off levelling up fairly quickly and then around 30. It starts to get really slow and you have to work really hard to get to a higher level.
