Working AC Huzzah!
This thing saved my ac fan motor, and instantly brought the temperature back down to livable. It showed up quickly, installed smoothly, even though it was smaller than the previous capacitor it replaced with the same number range. No problem a little weather stripping and a bigger mounting washer couldn't fix. All of the wires clipped into place as they should, and I was pleasantly surprised at how clearly labeled each terminal was. Better than the OEM.

It works, looks clean and is built strong. Back to clean AC in 10-15 minutes.
Arrived as advertised, install took 15 minutes with slight learning curve for this model heat pump and it fired right up as it did two days prior! Thank you for making a quality product and it hope the long term review will reflect a decent life span! We have many 'brownouts' and had another AC unit for out next door 36 hours prior to this one. Dirty grid power or regular outages of 5+ seconds are very hard on capacitors in air conditioners! I was curious so I looked into it and ~83% of all HVAC related service calls are capacitor related... I bought two for each unit so we have one sitting in the storage room to use as a quick fix next time one goes out. It is not about the quality of the capacitor as it is the amount of abuse the component takes. Signed of poor construction are barely starting the motor from day one to swelling of the can which indicates it was barely staying sealed when the insides want to blow up. The welds are great, can is clean, connectors are strong and sized properly. It provides the needed burst of energy to get the compressor running and I hope it continues for a long time to come. Best wishes and I hope this helps.

Fixed my A/C.
Perfect fit and specifications for my 4 ton Ruud Unit. Still working perfectly. Update 8/10/2025. I purchased the first one in June of 2023, still working fine. I purchased a spare a few days ago because of a brutal heatwave that forces my A/C to run almost non-stop and the frequent brownouts, all capacitor destroyers. As noted already its a quick easy fix if your compressor or your fan motor won't start. It is preferable to have a meter to confirm the cap is bad but even if you don't, having a spare one on hand in a pinch is worth the $20 even if it turns out that is not the problem. That's it, may your A/C always run cold.

Works perfectly. Order 2 and have a spare on hand
I ordered 2, so I would have a spare, next time when outside unit quits working. I didnโt realize my 4 year old unitโs capacitor was going bad until it finally gave it up. When I replaced it with this capacitor, the compressor/fan starting sound was so much quieter. I then realized my original capacitor had been weak for a long time. I just wish I had replaced it sooner. They are cheap, so I ordered two, just so I could have a spare whenever needed. I needed this 10 micro farad but borrowed a little smaller 7.5 mF from brother and it held me over until this 10mF came in. You can usually get by with a new smaller capacitor for a short time, a day or so at most if needed. Just donโt quote me on this but it worked for me. I bet my OEM 10mF had gotten and been extremely weak for a long time, so a 7.5 was much more than the original had been supplying as far as inrush current needs at start.

Wider and shorter than the old one but at least this one works correctly.
Been working perfectly for several weeks now. It doesn't fit the strap where the old one mounted but I managed to rig it into place with a few pieces of cardboard and duct tape. This new capacitor is shorter and wider than our old one but works just the same. (My setup had one wire to each of the "FAN" and "HERM" posts, and two wires to the "C" (aka COMMON) post.) INSTALLATION TIPS: As long as your wires are going to the correct colored coded and labeled post, it doesn't matter what male terminal you place the wires on: "FAN"(Green post) has 2 male terminals; "HERM"(White post) has 3 male terminals; and "C" aka COMMON(Black post) has 4 male terminals. [THE PICTURE I UPLOADED WAS WIRED INCORRECTLY BY AN INCOMPETENT WORKER] When I called the company to report their employee's wiring mistakes, they described him as a "new hire A/C technician". (In my opinion, he shouldn't even be called an A/C technician!) HERE'S THE CORRECT WAY TO WIRE THE CAPACITOR SHOWN IN MY PICTURE: The brown wire on the GREEN 2-terminal post labeled "FAN"; The purple wire on the WHITE 3-terminal post labeled "HERM"; and lastly The two red wires on the BLACK 4-terminal post labeled "C" (aka COMMON). [Your wire colors will most likely be different than mine.]

Easy fix for DIY folks
My AC capacitor went out and rather than call the HVAC guys out who are going to charge you an arm and a leg for this simple repair. This is a DIY fix so long as you're attentive to detail and can follow along with video instructions. Youtube saved me and easy $400 bucks on this repair and I did it in 30 mins.
