I bought this SSD to expand my storage on my PS5 since my storage got ran up pretty fast. The installation was very simple and they video they have is very easy to follow. I was able to get it installed and setup in a matter of 10 minutes. I was able to get this overnight, so when I woke up it was already delivered which made me excited! The speed for getting things downloaded was shocking because it didn't take as long on the hard drive. The design of the SSD is very cool since it has nice grooves on it and the PlayStation logo. The price of this isn't disappointing since you could probably have 10-12 games on your PS5 including the hard drive. The performance and Heat resistance is also good, I haven't had any issues with my console overheating or getting too hot.

Works well and functions as expected. Using a disk tester I see advertised speed as max (Of course it might not hold that real world of course).Used it in a PC so I can confirm it works fine. As with all NVME in a PC, though, check which NVME slot you should use with your manual. (some bum off one of the PCI-E slots and will slow down if a PCI-E is installed in said slot. You'll want to use a direct CPU one if possible)Note that to do this, though, you'll need to set the drive up as GPT (using Windows 11 here. MBR is an option if your existing drive or setup wants that), and you'll need to add your own partitions (it comes blanked without any).Once the above is done you can go ahead and clone your OS drive or however else you want to do it. Form factor (when you check your manual for the motherboard) is 2280.My motherboard had some built in heatsinks on two of the M2 slots, so be sure to follow instructions for installing without those (usually just remove and don't apply them) as this one has its own.

Really easy to put in and I am not a technical person. My ps5 still works flawlessly and quick. It is a lot of money, but it’s such an investment. I won’t have to worry about storage for a while. It’s really nice not having to decide which games I am deleting, reinstalling etc. Once you put the device in and start your system. The ps5 takes you directly to the prompts to answer and it’s super easy. I paid more money for this brand because of the reviews and the brands name and it’s nice having the peace of mind. I rather pay more money and know my games will be there and load correctly and not slow down my game play. I have had this for months now and it’s working flawlessly!

This was easier to install than I thought it would be. Took me less than 5 mins. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. Speed is good and working really well so far. Just formatted when prompted and it’s good to go.

This drive fit into the PlayStation 5 easily, and works very well for storing games. We've had zero problems with it and it was well worth the money.

Went into PS5 and working fantastic. Make sure to watch videos online on installing only issue I had was opening the wrong side of the PS5 and not seeing NVMe slot was in a digital edition PS5 so had no drive to use as reference so ended up opening the wrong side flipped it over and tried again and found it installed it easily then formatted on PS5 start up then make sure you transfer games from internal drive to new drive go to game library click option button on controller then choose move games select all games and move to M.2 drive goes very fast then set new games to install to new drive go into PlayStation settings then storage then game app installation and set new games to install to this drive by default once done everything works fantastic copied games play very well and newly installed games we put on new drive all games and saves worked flawlessly !! Game saves are stored on local non replaceable soldered on drive and previously installed games are stored there too and need to be moved to new M.2 drive went so smoothly going to replace my M.2 drive on my second PS5 had a couple friends one cry not tech savvy buy and install this drive easily on their PS5 like the piece of mind this is PlayStation licensed drive and that it’s a Western Digital product total installation and setup was maybe 30 minutes mak sure to have some videos or installation instructions ready ahead of time to cut down on installation time Sony has directions on their website bu i just watched some YouTube videos on installation highly recommend product even for non technically savvy users!!

SO FAR, five stars. It installed in the PS5 Pro perfectly and upon starting up, asked to format. Read speed seems a bit lower than what specs claim for the drive that comes with the PS5 Pro, so I am using this drive for the PS4 games and games I rarely play.I saw a reviewer state that, 'you have to format the drive BEFORE putting into the PS5' which is wrong. It's DESIGNED for the PS5, so all you should have to do is install it and turn on your PS5 and it should recognize it and ask if you want to format... if it doesn't, then it's either not installed correctly -or- it's defective.

I installed it like the video showed and it works like a charm, I now have more memory to save more games.
