Although the product fragrance is a bit old-man musty, initially, it wears down and is rather refreshing as the day goes on. However, what matters most is how it works and what it does! I was incredibly worried that it would make my hair greasy or oily, because it says "shine," but because there are so many positive reviews I decided to give it a chance and, oh, am I happy to have taken the plunge! It goes in smoothly, styles easily, and can be repositioned throughout the day without any special attention necessary. It just keeps working and working, doesn't run down your forehead or face. And, perhaps best of all, it can continue to be effective the next day if you decide to not wash your hair every day, or, perhaps, even, if you may be hungover and don't feel like showering or doing your hair but still have to do things to do like walking the dog and can still feel confident and presentable. Last but not least, the jar is beautiful, and even though the price is high, you get many uses (at least 3 months of daily usage) of consistent amazingness, which is like $0.25 per day to look like you just came out of the salon!

Scent is excellent and it holds my hair very nicely

I have very thick, dry hair with a lot of cowlicks in it. I tend to keep it cut short so as to control it better. My hair absorbs most products that I put on it to control it so they don’t work. Others, it needs so much of them that my hair looks greasy and/or will discolor any furniture or fabric it touches. This product requires very little to be used (a pea’s worth) to achieve desirable results: Control. A little shine. Soft to the touch. The sent is very light…kind of a combo of really light floral and basic hand cream. The result is something neither feminine nor masculine. I like it, and I don’t like a lot of smells because they’re usually way too heavy and I have a super-sensitive sense of smell. And one jar will last me 3+ months. Highly recommend.

The hair paste itself works ok, would be much better for shorter hairstyles that are structured, not so great for longer hair just looking for a polished look. However, I cannot get over the awful scent of this product - it smells like strong, cheap old lady perfume and made me want to wash my hair immediately just to get the smell out!! I don't know what other reviewers are thinking saying that this stuff smells great and people love it, because it is hideous! Going back right away, thank goodness for Amazon returns!

This is the best hair paste out there. My boyfriend has been using it for 2+ years now. A DIME worth of the product is enough to hold the hair in place, and it doesn't feel/look like you're wearing anything. It doesn't have a slick/sticky feeling. RREALLLLY good hair paste. Caution though, if you have really long hair, then you may want to look some place else. This works well for short to medium length hair, for men.

Wish the hold was a little stronger so I am going to try the matt paste and give this one to my bf.

I have been searching for a good hair product for some time until I found this hair paste, and now this is my favorite and only product to use. I love it!

This product makes my hair soft but it also makes it look greasy. It doesn’t hold well for straight, coarse hair. I would not buy this product again.

I use this product on my boys hair. They all have very different hair types but it works for each one of them. The product lasts - it allows me to create whatever tossled or spiky look they want. Top notch product.

Product doesn't feel great, smells stale and old and sucks. Get the fibre paste! The one I got was from 2017.
