I love these. I am just now getting into soldering and my husband said to be prepared or don’t even start! So I figure extra hands are better than two! I now have five. Can’t wait to start my projects!

I knew based on reviews it would be iffy. I'm happy enough with assembly and tightening ability but I got two pairs of straight tweezers instead of one curved. I won't send it back since I luckily already have a set of curved ones. These are essential for silversmithing. If they get a little out of alignment due to heat they are bendable with pliers. I've also managed to singe the wooden handles in direct flame plenty of times so be careful of that. They sink heat super well so sometimes you'll need to wait for them to cool before handling. For the price I won't complain too much as jewelry tools are generally expensive.

Unfortunately one of the pieces was broken when I opened the package which is unfortunate because it makes one of them unusable.

Horrible packaging. One of the tweezers was either never assembled or just fell apart. I also question the strength of the wing nuts…I bet they strip if i over tighten them.On a positive note…heavy enough weight at the bottom to keep it in place against a torch and seems like they will keep a good enough grip on material. (I’m working with 12ga .925 silver)Advice: spend a few more dollars with a different maker and hopefully you’ll get a better product.

Heavy solid base, good amount of spring tension. The only complaint is that it's hard to micro adjust the position of the tip if you are doing delicate work, the adjustment for position is a double wingnut clamp which is either too tight or too loose. For the price it's a decent tool and I use it all the time to solder jewelry wire.

These third hands are awesome for beginners to hone in on your crafting skills of metalsmithing. worth the purchase.
