This book! I was not expecting to love it as much as I did! I usually don’t like YA too much, but devoured this in a couple of days. It was so easy to read, and I loved all the characters in the book.The book follows a group of teenagers who have ‘natural abilities’ that can help them solve crimes, so they are recruited to a special unit within the FBI to help solve cold cases. But Cassie, one of the main. characters gets pulled into an active serial killer case, upping the stakes for them.The storyline of this book 🤌🏻👌🏻 I loved the crime/thriller aspect along with the YA feel, it just really worked! It was fun to see Cassie and Dean, the natural profilers, work together and bounce ideas of each other. Then there’s Michael, the natural emotion reader. Sloane is the natural smarty pants and Lia is the natural manipulator/lie detector. So they all have their roles in the unit, and together all their abilities work so well.I was not expecting the twist this book took at the end, when it was revealed I audibly gasped! The way it was written and played out just added to the experience so much, I really really enjoyed it!There was also a little love triangle blooming between Cassie, Dean and Michael, which was exciting! At the moment I like them both and can’t wait to see where that goes in the next books! I will immediately be moving onto Killer Instinct

Great story with a good twist at the end would highly recommend it to young adults will definitely re read this one.

The book is well written, an easy read. Didn't see the twist until it happened. Characters are easily invested in. I am eager to see where the next book goes

Decent read

I loved this book finished it so quickly really could be read in a few hours but soo good can’t wait for book 2

This was a fun read! I enjoyed the characters but was left wanting more, which hopefully I'll get from the sequel. The love interest storyline was ok but felt a tad flat but I've heard it gets better and has more of a focus in the second book, I guess this just set them up. I think I'm already set on who I want Cassie to end up with.The twist was great and delivered really well. I thought i knew who it was twice and at one point i was convinced I knew it, and it turns out I was correct, but I talked myself out off it!Looking forward to reading the sequel!

Criminal minds if the cast where younger and in book version✅🤌🏻

I flew through this book. It instantly hooked me. Even in the beginning when it was “slow” setting everything up, I was still intrigued and kept wanting to read it because I need to know where this was heading. It was fascinating just to see all these aspects of how things work in cases, and how the characters had certain abilities in order to catch a perpetrator and solve crime. That in of itself was interesting enough, but when things started to happen to Cassie and pulling her into a case then it just went bonkers in a good way. It took off at full speed after that. Again it was fascinating to see them figure it out as well all the twist and turns. It was just a thrilling ride that I couldn’t walk away from. It was so, so good.

Seriously, a great read! I went through it in less then 24 hours, no joke. It was addicting in the best way, from the push and pull of the love interests with Cassie, the plot twists, and that ending. Oh my god. I just sat there like 'wow' for a solid hour. I highly recommend this book. Definitely one of my favorites!
