Are the press studs 15 mm?

Sorry I don't know the answer to this question but my partner has said yesterday the studs being 15mm.

Can we use other size snap button, or plastic one?

I wouldn't try to use plastic as I think it could possibly break the snaps. The tool is for that size of snaps. Hope this helps.
