I cut a wire on my hedge trimmer and sent for this to assist with the repair. The plastic would not shrink around the repaired wire joint. I used a hair dryer, a heat gun and a soldering iron, the results we the same every time, "Useless". I have used up more than six of the things trying to get them to work, without success. I became jolly cross when I found they were useless and that I had wasted my time and money on such a pathetic product. I have given them to an electrician friend to try, but warned him of my experience , for the sake of the obvious safety implications.
