Perfect fit on the Freestyle 2, imperfect but serviceable fit on the Freestyle Edge
I'll start this review by saying I own two of these covers. which I bought for a Freestyle 2 keyboard (for work) and a Freestyle Edge (for home), so I'm writing this review for both. For the Freestyle 2 keyboard that the cover is specifically made for: the fit is perfect, and yes, it does add a little bit of resistance to the typing force needed, but just a little bit. It does what it's supposed to and keeps stuff from falling into the cracks between the keys. It's easy to clean and stays put on the keyboard while I'm vacuuming it off. I've now owned and used the cover for the Freestyle 2 for over a year with no noticeable wear, even with heavy daily use. For the Freestyle Edge, it fits mostly well, but: 1) it doesn't cover the four extra keys at the top of the keyboard (profile/macro/remap/settings), 2) the Caps, R Shift, and R Ctrl keys are wider on the Edge, so the cover doesn't fit over those keys and will bulge awkwardly in the immediate area, and 3) on the top row, the Edge has two small keys (Print Screen and Pause) in place of the wide Delete key on the Freestyle 2, so there will be two keys under the cover designed for one wide key, but the cover still lies flat, and both buttons are still usable. Of these issues, #2 is most noticeable/annoying, but the cover is still usable, and it doesn't significantly affect my typing speed or reduce protection of the spaces between the keys, so I'm fine with it overall, especially as a stopgap measure. I would have preferred a more perfectly fitting cover for the Freestyle Edge (and will very likely buy one if one becomes available), but as that doesn't seem to exist at the moment, this cover will do in the meantime, and I'm willing to put up with a slightly suboptimal fit to avoid another coffee-spill catastrophe. The mechanical keys still click satisfyingly while typing, as they should. That said, someone please make a cover specific for the Freestyle Edge!

Cloudy, unflatened and pricey
Kinesis keyboard is great, however this cover is not worth for me. First of all, covers are folded and squashed in package, hence leaving edge unflattened. Second, They are thick and semi-transparent, not easily see underneath keys. Third, only get keys covered, good fit, but leave top portion, LED indicators, and palm rest in the dust. No cover for my little sweetheart keypad. And just know that Kinesis doesn't make any keyboard covers. This overpriced piece is likely to get sticky and moldy over time. Better to clean keyboard regularly than use cover protection.

Good Keyboard Cover
Some of the bad reviews are due to not clearly reading what the product is. This is just a silicone cover for a specific keyboard: the Kinesis Freestyle2 or Kinesis Freestyle2 Blue. It is not the keyboard. I do think the price is a bit much, but since it is designed for a specific keyboard in mind it likely isn't a frequent seller the higher price due to lower demand. It works well if the keyboard is by itself or if it has the VIP lift kit and wrist supports. Fits perfectly, and I'm glad to have protection for an expensive keyboard.

Works well (Freestyle Edge)
I am using this on a Freestyle Edge right now. There are two covers, one for the left section with the macro keys, and the other for the right side, so the two pieces are different. Putting it on is easy once you have alignment right (proper left/right section, and the space bar toward the bottom). The cover feels like it grabs the keys when you go to put it on. It covers all the main keys, but on the Freestyle Edge it does not cover the small utility buttons at the top (record, layout, etc). You can type while this is on, though the keys will feel stiffer and require more pressure. I understand that is the case with any keyboard cover, and at least this one is fairly thin. The cover does what it says, and protects from crumbs and things. It is a little pricey compared with silicon covers for standard keyboards, though with the Kinesis ones the cover has to be a particular layout. Update: I didn't notice originally due to lighting, but the lower right portion of the right-hand cover doesn't fit exactly on the keys so it bubbles up a little. However I can still use and see those keys through the cover and the keys are still protected, so this is mostly cosmetic. Also, I now have a Freestyle Edge RGB and the fit is exactly the same as it was on the Freestyle Edge. The official description does not list either of these keyboards but other than a slight lift in the lower right, this cover does work on them.

Don't bother - does not even come close to fitting.
Wanted to like this due to needing protection on an expensive keyboard, but it just does not fit.

Seems good but Freestyle Edge users be aware!
The product itself seems solid, works good. Unfortunately I have a Freestyle Edge and the keys don't *quite* match properly. The Caps Lock, Right Shift, and Right Control keys on the Edge are a bit too big to be a perfect fit for this cover, leaving it kind of popped up in spots. Other than that, works great feels good. Would definitely 10/10 buy another if they make one for the Edge specifically

Smaller print on keys difficult to view.
Does it's job keeping foreign materials out of keyboard, unfortunately the material obscure's the finer printing on the keys making function keys, pause/break, home ect difficult to read.

Sounds like the other reviewers are trying to use this cover for anothery Kinesis keyboard. I was surprised how easily it just fit onto my Freestyle2. Only complaint is you have to push harder on the keys. Still haven't gotten used to that yet and it might cause me only to use the cover when I'm eating, drinking or smoking, which is what I bought the cover for. The thing goes on and pulls off so quickly, that won't be a problem. UPDATE: so been about ten months of use now and I no longer consider having to press the keys harder an issue - have gotten used to it, plus I suspect as I wore the cover in, it's easier to press the keys. And I can see the letters on the keys just fine. Going to order a spare cause I find this invaluable, and whever I remove to clean, my keyboard looks brand new!

Mine was very poorly packaged, completely crushed the cover was half out the crushed package, box completely destroyed but, the cover was still ok and its a good product but it DOES change the look and feel of your keyboard, so if you bought the keyboard for the tactile feel, this will change that completely. You do kind of get used to it over time but you won't enjoy the feel.

Good fit, but it's only clear if you look straight down at your keyboard. Looking at it on an angle, it is a bit foggy.
