MerrellMen's Trail Glove 6 Sneaker

I have wide feet and have a hard time finding shoes that don't feel cramped in the toe area, even with wide widths. It's not because my feet are super wide, I just think quality control is poor and also we all have unique feet. My feet also get hot in a lot of shoes, which I find uncomfortable.I wear these inside with socks. I've never used barefoot shoes before, so I was skeptical. While the toebox material does touch the top of my toes, it doesn't bother me because it's flexible and breathable. Arch support is good--feels like normal shoes. They're a bit tight getting on, because the opening is restricted. I bet if I didn't wear socks, they would be perfect. I normally wear 12 Wide, and these fit with socks on. 12 1/2 might be better. If you don't want to wear socks, you should find your normal size to fit well.

I hiked around 22 km today. My feet were hurting a little bit for the first few kilometers. I think the shoes were a little bit small for my feet. I should get size 11 instead of size 10.5. After I walked and hiked 22 KM, I felt good. So I have to give 5 stars. I will buy it again.

I originally rated these shoes lower because there's too much arch support in what should be a minimalist shoe, and it took me a while to adjust. I've come back and adjusted my rating: call it 3.5 stars after running in these for several months. I think the arch support is too aggressive, and I think the shoe is narrower in the toe-box than it could be. Nevertheless, it's been a good shoe on the trails. No issues going without socks, sure-footed even on muddy trails with tree roots, et cetera.

I have been using this brand for quite a few years and I absolutely love it! If you want great and comfortable shoes for trail running this is it. Wide toe box allows for more comfort and these shoes have never caused any blisters or issues with my toenails. Keep in mind, these are strictly for those who enjoy barefoot running. Zero cushion … but that’s the beauty of it.

I made the mistake of buying the trail glove twice. My fault. These shoes wear out incredibly fast. I’m taking 20 miles. Granted, this has been on tarmac but I’ve added a photo of my pair of chameleons that I’ve been wearing since 2019 on the same terrane. I’ve been a loyal customer of Merrell since the chameleons were launched over 30 years ago. These shoes are practically indestructible. The trail gloves not so much. Now I understand the “trail” in trail glove is indicative of a proper use for such a shoe but in no way should any wear as fast as they do. I’m was somewhat inclined to give this review more stars because I actually like the shoe, but the unusual wear outweighs all the other positives. Money down the drain.

Haven’t worn them yet but feel that they will work out great for lots of walking. They look really nice too.

I really wanted to like these shoes. They look incredible and I've got an older pair of Merrell Vapor Gloves that fit...well, like a glove. So I expected a similar fit for these. They fit true to size so the length of the shoe wasn't a problem but the midfoot was extremely narrow and the Trail Glove 6 actually hurt my feet before I even took my first steps in them. I took a quick walk up and down the hallway and I had to take them off. It's a shame when minimalist shoes get over-engineered.

Purchased June 2023, reviewed in Sept 2024, estimated 80 trail runsThe good: conservative style, great fit, ultra light, a true minimalist shoe.The bad: poor traction even when brand new.The ugly: not very robust. The 'upper' construction held together, but the outer soles simply tore apart. The traction went from poor to untrustworthy since much of the sole under the ball of the foot is gone per the picture.

I love this shoe. lightweight and excellent ground feel.

der Schuh wirkt sehr stabil. Für einen Barfußschuh hat er eine flache und feste Sohle. Die Farbe stimmt nicht ganz überein.

The media could not be loaded. Fit perfect size 10, very good quality, grip and colour mixture. Kinda kopa troopa on hard surface making noise. Worth well 100quid

Chaussures minimaliste, attention si vous n'êtes pas habitués, ce n'est pas 'rien' de passer le cap.La chaussure a une bonne adhérence, elle est agréable à porter. Elle taille un peu petit.
