You get what ya pay for. I gave this a 5 star review because it was exactly what I expected... a condenser microphone and a super cheap 'mixing" box...and it arrived quick. Even with out the extra "pod" gear, the microphone is worth the price. As for the "gear"... its a plastic disposable gadget with solid state circuitry that is not connected to the housing... so be careful plugging in and out of the ports... because the 'insides" just kinda flop around. But, I can not complain about it, because it seemed to be a bonus that came with the microphone. So I am happy with it, and the extra garbage. Besides, It was admittedly fun playing around with the voice morphing settings... but the over all 'quality" of that "mixer" is terrible... buzzing and humming coming from every electronic device in the room or close to it. The microphone hummed through the mixer, but it sounded quiet on an actual mixing console... For the price, I never expected a Neumann. So I have to give it five stars... I was surprised it exceeded my low expectations.

I do product reviews and have my own podcast and this set makes it very easy to get the job done. It's very porfessional the sound quality is great and it's easy to assemble. What I love the most about it is that you can set it up in the smallest spaces and still get great quality what I dislike is there is no travel bag to place the equipment in to Protect it if your traveling.

After recording several hours of books (I volunteer as a reader for reading disabled broadcasts through the local PBS radio station), there is suddenly a constant roaring noise, like standing in the wind, anytime the microphone is plugged in. Of course, the Amazon return period ran out last month and I can't find a good link to the manufacturer. Needed a higher quality sound to record audible books for those reading/visibility challenges. The phone mic and even higher quality ear buds weren't good at all. The condenser mic itself is somewhat directional per the specs and seems high quality. The extension mounting arm could use a heavier, better hardware but shouldn't be a problem as I'm not dismounting and remounting, just using in one spot. The instructions for the control panel suggested not having the charge cord plugged in while charging. This is a good tip as, when I ran some sound check, you could detect a very light 60 hz hum. Unplugging both the panel C-type cord and my phone charge cord,which I use as the recording device, solved the issue.

Do not waste your money. This is more like a child's toy. There isn't really anything to it and the sound is worse than a dollar store electronic. It also randomly quits working. I rarely leave negative reviews, but if it saves someone else the money, it's worth it.

For the price, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING; does the job, has all the features, and it works great! A few of the buttons are not labeled correctly based on what they actually do, but overall this is an AMAZING value!
