Nicely made, check your intended dimensions
I ordered the 3/4" rod. They arrived today, and are beautiful. I have a rather unique application intended for the rod. I have constructed a water wheel to be placed at the end of my salt water swimming pool. The water which used to lubricate the curved slide (not removed) is pumped over the 16" diameter wheel to make it rotate. The water then flows through a fiberglass channel below the wheel and dumps back into the pool. Last year, the first for the unit to be used, revealed that the salt water really corroded all metal bearings, pillow blocks and main shaft. This was expected when I constructed it. I thought that this acrylic rod would be an ideal replacement for the main shaft. The problem that I discovered after receiving the rods and new bearing is that everything is exactly 3/4", meaning that the rod will not fit into the 3/4" bearings and pillow blocks without some modification. I am still debating on whether to try to enlarge the openings on the bearings, or diminishing the diameter on the rod. Either way, it is going to require a lot of work.

Good quality but better packaging/handling is required to ensure the product is undamaged
The rod was shipped bare in a cardboard box without any protection. It was scratched in one spot but otherwise clear. For the price, it isn't the end of the world, but it will require extra work to make it usable for my purpose.
