Pretty amazing at £80 (I paid £55 at launch)
My current Adidas earbuds are slowly losing battery performance after 18 months solid use, they were £150 in early 2022 so I've been looking at the high end Sony buds etc and then saw a launch offer on these. At the price I thought why not, have had lots of Anker products in the past and also soundcore items, always good value. Paid £1 for a £25 discount on launch day and have had them 24 hours. Been using them for maybe 5 or 6 of those hours so far. So for the cash I really am amazed at the quality of these. Pairing was super easy to my Galaxy A34, just opened the case and the phone found them , I did all ready have the soundcore app installed (have some Anker headphones for work and a speaker all ready) , which may have assisted with this , but the fast pairing is a great feature. The various options in the app are worth playing with , the ANC is good, not sure it's as good as they state but I've no complaints, and the auto changing to conditions really does work, walking our dog this morning it clicked in to remove wind noise and again to reduce traffic noise - very clever. They sound pretty good as well, listening to Spotify which is about the limit of my use for these, and I took and made a call while wearing them and the. Sound and microphone were both good. Regardless of the ANC to me they sound better with it enabled so for a fuller sound I'll be using the setting all the time. Battery life is good, and they came fully charged. Bonus. Overall .more than happy with these. I'm using the preinstalled rubber buds but will have play with them to see if the fit could be improved for my ears (I haven't had one fall out so far so think they are fine) One other feature of note is the ability to have 2 devices connected. I've added my Samsung Tab S6 lite to the app and again pairing was very simple. So a big thumbs up for me. Might even buy a spare set if they come up on offer again. Amazing value. For my usage (teams calls, commuting and walking mostly), I'm not sure I need to spend more. The Adidas set will revert to being for exercise use (which is what I got them for but then just used them all the time). Seriously worth a look and maybe the best earbuds you can get at the moment for less than £80. EDIT: had some issues getting them to connect to my wiondows 11 laptop - if you suffer the same go into phone app and add new device and then in windows settings ensure bluetooth advanced is selected - my hp laptop couldn't find them without this setting. all good now and very comfortable to wear over a working day. EDIT 2 - after 30 plus days. Took a 4.20 hour flight yesterday and with the normal 45 minutes before take off added the low battery warning came on before we landed. I guess almost 5 hours is pretty good and the ANC definitely worked hard on the flight! They didn't run out of life but I think I had hoped for more. Still very happy overall.

Superb and a worthy upgrade
These are really very good! I had the 40i's before changing to these and there's a massive improvement in the noise cancelling. I usually walk a few miles through traffic, and other town noises, and with these I can barely hear anything now! Far superior to the 40i's and also they have a much riser sound as well, more bass but not too heavy, and as always with this brand battery life is excellent and the fit perfectly too 👍 highly recommended.

Punches above it's weight for the price!
I was sceptical at first. I know the issue with wireless earbuds/headphones. There is a delay in the audio when you're watching a video. There is still that here, but if you turn on Gaming Mode in the app (which reduces the range), the issue is resolved, which is nice. As for how they sound? Absolutely spectacular. Great bass, music is clear and crisp, and battery life is quite decent for what they are. 8-10 hours on one charge! As for the noise reduction, it's decent. Certainly won't win awards, but it's good for what it does. The extra earbud sizes are nice, and it helps with comfort and ensuring they don't fall out easily. Overall, I'd recommend these! For what you get, you won't be disappointed.

Very nice earbuds
These are fantastic earbuds, light and really comfortable in the ears and the sound is great, plenty of bass and great clarity! The noise cancelling works really well and my super noisy environment just disappears making everything much more relaxed and better!! They pair easily to my phone, tablet and TV. The downloadable app is great and the programmable functionality of touches to the buds is a really nice feature. They come with an extra 4 sets of silicone ear thingies in different sizes but for me the ones that come fitted fit perfectly. I find myself using these all the time as they just seem to be that good. Even the case is nice with little lights that come on so you can see to get the earbuds out in the dark when you open it.

Impressive sound and battery! Way better than my AirPods!
I’m genuinely impressed with the Soundcore Liberty 4! The sound quality is rich, clear, and more powerful than my Apple AirPods especially the bass and overall depth. Music feels fuller, calls are crisp, and the noise cancelling works really well in busy environments and while travelling. Battery life is another standout. I can use them for long stretches without worrying about charging, and the case holds plenty of extra power which makes them perfect for daily use and flights. They’re comfortable, stay secure in the ears, and the app controls are a great bonus. For the price, the performance is excellent. Definitely a great buy and easily my preferred earbuds over AirPods now.

Excellent product at this price range
These Anker ear phones really make a difference if you are coming from cheap ones. Their build quality is fantastic , and the case is very small and very portable . They sound very loud and their app is amazing for customisation and changing the noise cancelling and EQ settings with a lot of variety and custom profiles . I found the noise cancelling really good for this type of earphones and it really made a difference inside a very loud busy gym . My only subtle complaint is that I found that they aren’t as loud as I expected when listening to a audiobook in a loud space but it’s still pretty good . The volume controls along with all the other actions are very customisable through the app and the touch buttons are extremely responsive so you can select what it’s button press does through the app . The do appear pretty durable and sturdy and they also fit very well in my ears . I was concerned they would slip off during fast running at the gym but if the right size buds are selected the you won’t have any problems with that . They seem to charge fast and last ages so no issues with charges either but I don’t use them for dozens of hours at a time so far . All in all it’s been extremely worth the price per value ration and definitely recommend to anyone who likes a good pair of earphones without spending hundreds for them .

Great noise cancelling and fit
So far these are excellent earphones. I was lucky to get them though as the Amazon driver couldn't be bothered to knock on the door or ring the video doorbell and left them on the front doorstep and then filled in his device and lied that he left them at the back door. Amazon, sort out the rogue drivers please. I was using the Anker p30i earbuds but when I flew to Tenerife they didn't make the 4.5 hr flight and ran out of steam in the last 30 mins. That was annoying, the sound was good and the noise cancelling was good too but I need something that has a longer battery life so I went for these. I trust Anker and knew they would be good and I'm right. The noise cancelling is great and the set up was simple as I already had the app on my iphone/ Pad so they connected instantly. The fit is great, they are so comfortable, they never fall out. I'll need to find out whether they have a longer use time than the P30i. I hope so. If they make the distance to Tenerife I'll be delighted. I used to use Bose over ear headphones and they did the job especially with crying babies, I know it cannot be helped on a plane, but they were bulky to carry. These Ankers do the same job but in a user friendlier in ear size. Remarkable really.

If you like good quality sound these earbuds are not for you.
I have not written a review for a while. Yet, I felt it was important to communicate my opinion to help other customers. Especially given my experience and knowledge of headphones and earbuds. There are two reasons I buy headphones/earbuds. 1. Sound quality 2. Noise Cancelling That’s it. Everything else is a bonus. I have over four decades of experience with headphones and earphones. Ranging from £10.00 to £500+ including custom moulds. To give you some context, I currently love the WH-1000XM3, but hated the WH-1000XM5. I am thinking of buying the WH-1000XM4, soon, even though they are old. But, my go to earbuds are the AirPods Pro (2nd generation). They are an excellent earbud, not perfect, but very, very good. I pair them with an iPhone. I will buy AirPods Pro (3rd generation) on the day of release, hopefully this year! In the interim, I wanted another pair of noise cancelling earbuds. I heard lots of excellent reviews for SoundCore, by Anker. Many YouTubers provided extensive reviews and praised them — and a lot of respected audiophiles too, which I find surprising. I can now conclude, much of that praise is hype. Having purchased the Soundcore by Anker Liberty 4 NC in the Prime Sale for £59.99. I returned them within less than an hour. Here’s why. First, the good things. Anker’s marketing, branding, packaging, features are super. The case is brilliant, albeit a little chunky. It makes a satisfying click when you close it. I love the front light too. There are also two inner lights that highlight that the buds are charging. And I love how the magnets snap the earbuds to the case for a secure charge. It is so satisfying! Apple could learn a lot from the case alone. The Noise Cancelling is good, I heard the music, not the environment. Those who are having difficulties try repairing. If that does not work, you may have a defective set. There’s nothing wrong with Anker’s Noise Cancelling. However, what lets these earbuds down is the sound profile. This is a tremendous disappointment. Anker takes considerable effort to allow the listener to change the sound profile. They provide various ways to calibrate the earbuds. For example, by running a sound/hearing test, providing their own sound signatures and even an EQ (albeit limited band). The result of which is, pah! A load of rubbish. Apple doesn’t provide any of this, they just sound good. Not amazing, but certainly acceptable. I listen to HQ, lossless music and maybe that’s part of the issue. But the same was true across Apple Music, Tidal and Amazon Prime platforms. The earbuds frequently produced digital artefacts in the sound. Bass was boomy, the sound stage was poor. The frequencies were an absolute ‘muddy mess’, no matter how hard I tried to EQ them. There were moments when I thought, “Oh, that sounds fantastic...” but those moments were few and far between. I could have run my music through another wide band, EQ. But, if the sound doesn’t sound great flat to begin with, I’d be wasting a lot of time and effort and so I didn’t want to go down that hole. I felt cheated. At this price point, I’m not expecting the world. But, I’ve had Sony headphones that cost just £20.00 which sound far, far better than these. If you are in the market for a pair of earbuds but don’t care about sound quality, these are for you. If you cannot tell the difference between what sounds good and what doesn’t, again, these are for you. However, if you don’t care about sound, there are more alternatives at a much lower price than this model. But do yourself a favour. Listen to good sounding earphones, even if you have to attend a Hi-Fi store. Then you’ll be able to sort the good from the bad. And, more importantly, all manufacturers will have to up their game. Because those leaving reviews will know what they are talking about. I hope you find this review helpful, honest and accurate. Good luck!
