Poor build quality
Out of the box this looked good. I am ex military and do a fair amount of hill walking and just fancied the style but also some of the functions in the watch. I was pleased when I set the watch up so far so good. The lumescence is excellent and very clear the watch is light but does not feel cheap. In the first hour I was delighted. After a few hours I noticed the GMT hour hand was slow so corrected it. A couple of hours later it was fast and that was when I realised it was slightly loose and moved when shaken. The main hour and second hands seemed ok.The outer rings and calibration provide pacing and map measuring tools. These are well designed and simple to use but on my first walk proved very inaccurate. When I got back home I noticed the outer ring was slightly misaligned and the second hand didn't line up exactly against the markers. Frankly you were better off checking the map and doing a quick bit of arithmatic every 15 minutes rather than relying on the watch because of this.I decided to return the watch and Amazon were brilliant refunded very quickly allowing me to buy an alternative. Overall very disappointing from a brand that relies on its rugged sales pitch. I would not seriously use this watch for its intended purpose and would wonder how long it would last in the field. As an about town watch it's ok but again build quality was of a standard that would leave me checking its accuracy.

What a great watch. Looks good and turns a few heads
What a great watch. Looks good and turns a few heads, even amongst ex Military friends. Well worth the money and investment. You cant go wrong with Luminox as a quality brand. If its good enough for the Navy Seals / Special Forces then its good enough for me. Had the watch for 10 months now and its ruggedness and quality is outstanding.

Cool watch with navigational equipment built in
This is a very smart piece of kit. The analogue watch is easy to read and keeps time well, but comes with various navigational aids built in. First and foremost, it looks good and is cool.It has a built in indicator to measure your walking speed as well as a small removable compass that sits alongside the watch face. In addition, the watch strap has calibrations in centimetres and inches. So with this watch and a map you should be able to navigate your way around. It even has the conversion ratios and another measure in kilometres for 1:25,000 or 1:50,000 so you can just lay your watch over the map and know just how far things are without entering into the murky arena of mental arithmetic. The watch strap is chunky rubber and it has real strength to it. The bazel rotates in one direction only which is useful for diving (but don't ask me how). The watch will go down to 200 metres for the same purpose. It has only one crown which pulls out for adjusting the time or date.I would also mention that despite being quite a large and masculine watch, it is surprisingly light. It also has some gas-powered lighting technology so that you can tell the time in the dark.
