One of our favorite engine builder games

I've been wanting to be able to expand Furnace up to 5 players, which makes it more usable when taking it to game night. The expansion offers lots of interesting new twists to the game. I especially like the additional variable bidding tokens and the manager tokens. I'm glad they added additional player power cards. My only gripe is with the rules. Like the base addition of the game, the rule book isn't clear on how exactly the special power abilities work. I had to rely on BGG to help with some of this again. Overall, if you really like Furnace, this is a great expansion to add.

Furnace was a game that came into my possession without me knowing anything about it, and I really liked it. The expansion enhances the strengths of the base game and adds modular options to customize your game. I don't recommend playing it with 5 people right away, unless they have experience with the base game, as there are now more options and each game takes much longer.

This expansion includes a lot of extra content for the game. Various ways to play and new cards. It's a nice addition to change things up, but my biggest reason for the purchase was for the solo rules.
