Great stuff against vine weevil grubs n beetles BUT use it with care!!
Brilliant stuff! I use this twice a yr for killing the evil weevil grubs. Once at beginning of growing season (march) for pots with Hostas & bulbs and again in September, after the majority of my flowering pots have finished flowering and the weevil beetle usually lays fresh eggs! I'm very mindful however, that this stuff will kill bees, hence why I only ever use it well BEFORE flowering and then AFTER flowering season. I never use it in the open ground , only in my pots!! I also NEVER use it as a spray, only as a soil soak!

BUGCLEAR instructions
I rang BugClear on the number on the box. I asked how long the product lasts and was told up to 3 years after production date. Older, it may still be used but might not be as effective. I asked how long the chemical stays in the plant. I was told 2 months. I mentioned I was getting larvae in May but it was recommended to drench the pots in June and August. I was told that Bugclear can be used as an occasional spray during the year, one third of the dosage mentioned on the box (20ml instead of 60ml). If you have queries, you can ring them. I am in West Yorkshire and I lost plants in May, finding many larvae in the plants' roots. That is why I rang BugClear. The reason you drench pots in August is so it kills the bug from surviving overwinter. If I had noted that on the box, and drenched in August, my plants should have survived. Vine Weevils tend to lay their eggs in late spring, the reason for drenching pots in June.

Brings your plants back to life
I used this product to get rid of black fly on my cherry tree and it really does work. My cherry tree is thriving this year. I highly recommend this product.

It really does kill EVERYTHING
So the Vine Weevil killer is very effective and does kill vine weevil grubs BUT it also kills everything else including worms, spiders leopard slugs (which are the good guys who only eat rotting vegetation and not our plants) I felt very guilty when I saw a large spider that I hadn't noticed staggering around before dying so while I would recommend it on house plants once they have been checked for good bugs, I would urge caution while using it. It is also toxic to fish and pets. Please be careful using it as some of the liquid drained out of the bottom of the drip tray and I just caught our cat about to drink from it.

Plant lifesaver.
Small garden, lots of big pots. Use this every year, It's expensive and takes several bottles to do everything, and it takes time to do all, but it's well worth the effort. It's a horrible site when a big beautiful shrub keels over because its' roots have been attacked by vine weevil grubs. This stuff works!I use it as recommended in the spring. usually after a vine weevil has announced its' presence by crawling in through the kitchen window. (They're either taking the mickey or just not very bright)Don't believe the "experts " who say the grubs are only in the top six inches of soil. I've found them more than two foot down into the soil even to the bottom of a large container. Perhaps they were trying to escape.
