Machine was a piece of crap.
I plugged it in and all it did was spin around no plug and play. I was looking forward to playing all these Blu-ray movies I had been given by a friend.

Un aparato muy útil para reproducir el formato Blu-ray.
Esta unidad externa de Blu-ray, marca Yaeonku, es un aparato muy útil para reproducir películas o conciertos en formato Blu-ray. Lo conecté de manera muy fácil a mi Mac y ahora puedo disfrutar de mis películas y conciertos musicales en Blu-ray. Solo un detalle a considerar: mi iMac es de 2013, así que tuve que bajar un software para reproducir las películas en Blu-ray. Tal vez algunas computadoras mas recientes lo puedan reproducir automáticamente, pero en mi caso sí tuve que recurrir a uno de los variados softwares de reproducción de Blu-ray que existen en internet. Pero el aparato funciona muy bien, su imagen es clara y la reproducción de los videos no tiene fallas. Recomendable.

Worked fine on my Mac, but only the USB A cable
Tried the USB C cable first, in theory that's faster? Maybe not, but anyway threw a Blu-Ray in there, and both with and without a disc, nothing, didn't show up in Disk Utility either.Then, I used the USB A connector, and it mounted! Blu-Ray on Mac is a little hit and miss, I needed to install some playing software, but I found one for 99 cents on the app store, and it played just fine!So... I give it four stars because while it works, it doesn't include any Mac playing software, and the USB C connector didn't work for me.

I got this to back up my DVD to a hard drive after 6 dvds it give a read error every time will not read any dvd now. Piece of junk and a wast of money I would return it but Im traveling for the next few weeks so whats the point.

Seriously impressed, a steal for the money, available when and where you need it!
This is literally a solid product, doesn't feel cheap, super compact, barely bigger than the disc. Check out that power/data cable, your choice of USB Type A or C connector, can run on one cable / plug only as long as your device can supply correct power level. If not, try another connector and/or separate USB power supply. I had no issue getting it to run on either plug only with my computer. It's nice to have a drive since many or most new computers don't come with one. It also has the snap disc on the center post in the tray so you can use the smaller discs you sometimes get with device drivers. It was recognized right away and played the movie I installed immediately with no complex setup of any kind. Very impressed.
