On a Lexus GX470? ~ Wife can't stop giggling (great sound!)
I cut nearly the entire exhaust off our 2007 Lexus GX470 and replaced it with this Thrush 36" Glass Pack and a down turned chromed exhaust tip, to get the gases away from the cabin. I'm handy with a welder so this whole project was under $40 and a couple of hours ~ the pipe end was a butt weld and the tip end was an easier slip on; however, I welded both sides all the way shut. This thing sounds amazing! ~ Definitely louder than stock but mostly in a deep purring kind of way that you almost don't hear at idle with the windows closed (it's still a Lexus) ~ Unless, you put your foot into it: then it definitely makes your presence known to any traffic around you! (and yet it is still not "setting off car alarms" loud) In spite of weighing less and allowing the exhaust gas to exit with less restriction, our gas mileage is currently suffering because my wife and I are revving the engine simply to for the joy of feeling the V8 vibrate the cabin a little bit and oh, what fun in parking garages! I expect that to change soon ..and I also expect this to get a little louder with age ~ It's a beautiful thing ~ tht GX feels new to us again. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that you have to grind off a bunch of paint to weld it up which wastes time. Still giving it 5 stars though ~ what more do you want at this price point?

Absolute Perfection
Fit perfectly on a 1997 Jeep ZJ, replacing the muffler. Beautiful low tone, wakes up when you get on it, and no “drone”. I am very pleased. We will see if it holds up in a year or so.

Great product for the price
These are great for toning down any exhaust they fit into. I put a header/flex pipe and catback on my '03 Focus ZX3 that was all straight pipe with a straight thru design borla muffler that was.. a little obnoxious. Put this thrush on and it mellowed it way down and brought it to a nice respectable noise level. The only thing is the length they provide is the length of the body, not the in/out pipe so you'll have to add about 6" to the length. Had to improvise a little on my exhaust because of this.

31” Overall length.
I couldn’t find the length anywhere in the description. So I took a chance from a couple of reviews. Someone said it was 26 inches. It is actually 31 inches over overall.

On a I4
After the install of my performance header the exhaust was loud and raspy. Went with this glasspack off a tip and it actually tamed the sound and made it deeper. Only allowed one video upload (poop) but it did wonders. 2.25" pipe with high-flow cat, no resonator, glasspack and Vibrant performance oval muffler. (For the video sake. Imagine the exhaust 2x louder and raspier.) Very happy with purchase.

their made good (thrust has been around longer than most hot-rodders)
this is an 1960 hot rod sound, this is my 3 replacement of these exact ones in the last 25 years on a sb Chevy 400ci, 500 hp, they eventual blow out and are just loud, their made good (thrust has been around longer than most hot-rodders), have a great sound, make sure you use the longest body length ones you can fit or they blow out to fast and don't have that strong sound, just a loud sound, they are straight threw and you can look threw them; they sound different from flowmasters, a distinct sound difference, for the money and that classic sound you have to go with glass-packs and Thrust Cherry Bombs are hot

Great glasspack brand for the money
Really nice glasspack, they are all relatively made the same but I much prefer thrush for the way they pack their tubes and the fact they come pre-painted to prevent immediate corrosion or rust. the always give my exhausts a nice deep rich tone and cut pretty much all the drone out all at once, but it may depend on where you place it in the system and how long of a pack you get. either way. I like thrush and I'll be sticking with em as always.

great resonator, solid, took a long time for the sound to break-in but doesnt matter.

It was for 1998 Lincoln Navigator 5.4L 2v..The trick with these things is obviously the longer they are the deeper/quieter they'll be. Don't get me wrong though, rev it up past 3K and its LOUD but it sounds tame (reasonable burble) when your cruising about 1500-2K (obviously varying buy application...my truck has a V8)...just waiting to put on 2 magnaflow cats to perfect the sound. Beats buying a catback system for $600. All I wanted was the rumble so it doesn't sound like a soccer mom's SUV lol. As far as cabin drone, my wife doesn't even notice it, only take offs from a stop so that's good if your thinking about the straight-through design versus a regular muffler. I think the 24205 is the longest one you can get if I'm not mistaken. Oh yeah and it came with a cool sticker. 2021 update - Completely rotted out now...I mean for 5 years not bad I suppose. Was looking for a stainless varient

Bought this muffler for the dad van (05 Jeep Liberty 3.7L) worked perfect being 31 inches overall for me it was a simple undo the clamps to the old stock one and put it in the new one sounds good starting up, idle, and cruising/get some speeds not overly loud but a nice tone that doesn’t sound raspy at all
