Superior Product that makes TRULY CLEAN WATER
I have owned this product for about a month. It is worth every penny I paid for it. It takes about 15 minutes after each use to clean and prepare for the next use. I clean with vinegar after every use so that I don’t have any scale buildup which happens quickly with the nasty water that comes out of my water tap. The water is so delicious and really hydrates my body. I still felt thirsty after drinking filtered and bottled spring water. My doctor said it’s because the water is not really clean. No more bottled or home filtered water for me unless it’s absolutely my only choice!

Quality
Great unit, well made and works well. Takes about 5 hours for a full unit (about 5 quarts). Easy to clean (white vinegar) and the charcoal filter seems to do it's job also. I got the white (cost less) and it is sleek and clean looking. It does take up quite a bit of counter space so you need to keep that in mind. I had a stove top distiller prior and this is by far a better, less time consuming, unit.

Excellent Choice
Stop depending on the grocery store to have distilled water and make your own at home. This unit makes 3 batches a day (3 gals) for use in your solar batteries and coffee makers.I've distilled 3 gals a day since it arrived and no issues so far.

2nd update to run time 8 hours. Metal gets discolored.
I have been using countertop distillers from another maker for over 20 years. I decided to try a different brand because the ones I had used have gone up at lot in price. This one looks nice and seems well-built, although much lighter in weight than my old ones. . However, after I washed it as instructed, and I boiled my first gallon of water, black spots showed up inside where the surface of the water had been. I have not been able to remove them. This never happened with my old ones -- same country well water, filtered and softened. Also, nowhere in the ad does it say it may take 5-6 hours to boil the water as it says in the instruction manual that came in the box. It took my old ones 3-4 hours (3 if it was warm to start with, 4 if it was cold). I have run this one twice, and it has taken 8 hours each time. After I wrote the above, I tried to return it. Seller emailed and phoned me to brush off my issues. (There were more problems than just the stains.) For example, he said some problems could be because it's plugged into a ground fault interrupter, a type of electric outlet. He says he doesn't recommend using that kind. However, that kind has been required in new construction kitchens (my house) all over the US for several years. And the ad doesn't mention ground fault interrupters.Be sure to read the entire instruction manual, if possible, before you buy. It says things not in the ad, like you should run the distiller only at night. Ridiculous!Other problems remain. I will continue to pursue a return and full refund. GREAT SERVICE FROM AMAZON! Full refund received! Thank you! I am returning this item.

better than the first one! Glad I bought the insurance last time!
More pitting in the "stainless steel" The last time I spoke with the manager he told me it must be something in the water, and yet I have stainless steel pots 20-30 years old with no pitting...Great little machine, however, the quality of the stainless steel is lacking.

Well made
I've bought other distillers, but this one is by far of much better quality. Worth the extra $$

What's REALLY in you water.
This distiller is amazing. I filtered 3 types of water.1. Tap water2. Filtered water3. Rain waterThe best distilled of all 3 is the filtered water. The rain water and filtered left a small amount of brown smelly disgusting water in the reservoir. The tap water needed to be distilled TWICE! I LOVE this distiller.

Best on market
My special diet required distilled water to drink, to cook with, etc. It’s easy to use. You need two people to put the glass carafe together. I would buy this again.
