Sony Xperia E5 UK SIM-Free Smartphone - Black

bought 2 of these one for each of my children. Both are delighted. The sound from the phone is very good. nice sharp clear picture., I thought my 2 year old phone was pretty good in terms of speed when using the internet but in comparison to this one it is slow! This phone is very fast. The one thing I do not like is that it takes a Nano SIM which means changing phones will not be easy if the replacement phone does not take a Nano sim. My children love this phone. It takes great photos as well. I am impressed with it and am very tempted to buy one for myself. A very good value good quality smart phone that is more than adequate for everyday use.

Lovely size phone and slim, software slow and is not compatible with some apps which are like. For this reason I sent it back .

We bought 2 of these as replacements for 2 rather old Xperia M phones. Ok the normal good stuff Amazon delivered quickly at the right price and kept us informed via email and text the whole time. The price is good for a quad core with plenty of internal memory, it's certainly quicker than our old M models, but not as fast as we expected considering on paper it's twice as fast, I think this maybe due to the new security added into Android but even so its still lag free and as good as any midrange phone we have tried and as always Android works flawlessly so far. We're not expecting to run out of memory anytime soon and with the capability to add external memory for music and storing photos and some data space should be good for a while. Build quality is as expected excellent, ok the M had a metal power button and felt more robust but to replace the M with a new M4 aqua adds 50 to 100 pounds and imho you gain very little more for the price. Cameras are good but this is my only real gripe, with the main camera when Object Tracking is turned on the phone struggles to focus and take a picture, I did not expect this as this function worked flawlessly on my M model which should be far less capable, this is mainly an issue in poor light or indoors and with a little experimenting I have found if a reduce the quality of the picture from its default high setting to being just good then I can use OT otherwise I turn it off as it's not really necessary, if in reduced mode this camera is still far more detailed than my previous M which was good, if you want a more capable camera I believe the Sony XA is better but has a price to match. So all in all great phone but camera is slightly flawed but still excellent value for your money

Excellent phone, does a great job at everything I need it to. The battery life is reasonable, and the phone behaves itself when in use. Using the internet, ring settings, alarms, music, external storage, etc is all easy. I prefer this to an iphone, as does all the jobs needed for a lot less! Glass screen protectors and coloured gel cases are readily available to keep it in top condition. Phone quality has surprised me, as it is actually nice and clear. Very please with this all rounder great phone!

This is my third one of these (lost one, broke one). I think it's great value for money with quality and performance not really much inferior to the top-of-the-range kit. Camera is excellent and the phone does everything I need in a straightforward fashion
