Got this one thinking, "Hey, it's says it's dark red, but it looks black in this picture. Ah well, this has a sifter with a scoop I can use to force the matcha through, if it's black it will still be nice."I am absolutely stunned by the color of this thing. Like holy crap, this is one of the most gorgeous shades of red I have seen on anything ever. It does look rather dark in many circumstances, but when the light hits it that deep red color really just pops. Pictures barely do it justice; I'm hoping they the fact they I took these pictures directly under a light will help to show the color off. It looks at least three times better in person.On top of that, it has a removable sifter that fits & stores comfortably in the tin. So far it seems very durable & produces a very fine powder, wonderful for matcha. My only real complaint is that the scoop is rather flimsy; it would have been nice if it wasn't made of metal one can readily bend in one's hands. Other than that, though, this is a solid piece in both form & function, I definitely recommend getting it; heck, there's a good chance I'll wind up picking up another at some point down the line!

Only 4 stars because my tin arrived with a dented top… I did not wish to go through the hassle of a return as I needed to use right away… it works great and the size was able to more than accommodate two tins of ceremonial grade matcha that I had on hand… you can sift all your matcha at once and use out of sifter tin as needed and it remains clump free in the fridge which is where matcha should be stored upon opening. I don’t store the sifter n scoop in the fridge to prevent premature rust however.

Very thin tin. Arrived dented and crushed due to poor quality metal and poor shipping packaging. Refund or replacement is not available even if item is damaged. It’s a gamble whether you’ll have a usable item or garbage.
