The Octopus Escapes

My grandson and I both love this book. Originally we had got it from the library, but after checking it out 5 times, I decided to get him is own copy. He's a very happy 3 year old.

Such a sweet book! Colorful sturdy pages. Cute story. I love the positive portrayal of octopuses.

I pre-ordered this book because I love octopuses. My kids (3 and 6) and I have read it many times over just the past couple days and we all like it a lot. The story and illustrations are engaging and we ended up later watching lots of videos of octopuses escaping and trying to figure things out.Just one quibble--I wish the author had called the octopus' appendages "arms," because they are not actually tentacles. :-/

Gave to my 2 grandchildren for christmas and they loved it, me too.

This book makes a great gift to add to a child's library

I love octopus and so I thought I'd get it for my daycare. The book didn't flow, had no real story to it other than he escaped? Like no point. Disappointing, I returned.

Extremely charming book, illustrations are fun and whimsical and full of little details that make it such a fun book to read. You really fall in love with the octopus
