My cat loves this toy and it keeps him entertained!
It took a bit for my cat to warm up to this toy, but now I cant live without it. My cat likes the fact that he can turn it on himself, which he does all the time. Sometimes he plays with it and sometimes he stares at it in a relaxed trance lol. Either way I have had it over a year and it entertains him, which is great because he has a lot of energy. I had to replace it once because my cat was ruff with it and got the feather poppers out of alignment. Waiting for the replacement in the mail was hard, my cat acted like he lost his buddy:( I have bought one for my sisters cat, who loves it and I came back to buy one for a local shelter and a friend who is fostering. I highly recommend this toy!

Fun for all age cats
My two cats have had many hours of fun playing with this. The charge lasts a decent amount of time and they quickly learned how to trigger the sensor to start it back. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the feathers that pop out did not last very long.

Unsafe design
I really really wanted to like this toy, but the positioning of the ball track and hide and seek portion kept attracting my cat right up to the device and putting his face immediately in the laser’s path. That was true even in laser only mode, particularly if you set it up to alternate with hide/seek. While he was still trying to paw the hide/seek feathers out, I watched the laser turn on and track right across where his eyes were, missing them by only a couple of mm. Playing with the balls put him in a similar position.I know that a low power laser isn’t (very) harmful to the eye if the animal can blink in time, but I’m just not so sure that’s true from literally a couple of inches away. Plus it’s not like the laser comes with calibration papers for power. I do trust it’s probably less than 1 mW, but not so much that I want it right up in his face.Laser -or- other toys, but not both, at least at that angle. Alternately, turn the laser off with a very reliable 1 ft proximity sensor. Or maybe put the laser on the bottom tier somehow so all the other toys are above it. But don’t put lures right under an operating laser pointer where it’ll put the cat’s eyes right up to the beam.My cat sure was disappointed I took the toy away, but I think this is just a terrible design. I like Potaroma’s other stuff quite a bit, but releasing this one was a bad mistake.

A fun toy
My cat loves this toy and plays with it often. His favorite part is chasing the red dot, but he enjoys sticking his hands in the holes where the feathers pop out too. My other cat likes to attack the feather on the top. With that being said, the feathers that pop out didn't last but two days. To buy replacement feathers for it is a costly endeavor. My husband is a clever kind of guy and was able to get some off-brand feathers to work that didn't cost nearly as much. To be honest, one of my dogs got a hold of the feather and dragged the unit across the floor. That did not help the cause.A fun unit for the cat, but really isn't dog resilient. Not meant for dogs anyway
