I removed whatever they had on the back, and used 3m double sided Velcro. You can find them at target, Walmart or anywhere else. Stick the two pieces together and apply it to the picture first. Then remove the backing tape and with a level put the picture against the wall and once level, firmly push onto wall and hold. That way the picture can be removed with no holes in the sheet rock. The strips r one time use and don’t damage the walls. We use them on all of our pictures in our home
