I used this strip for an outdoor project. It performs better than the older style LED strips I have used in the past. Smooth Light (No Diffuser Needed) Because this uses COB (Chip on Board) technology, the light is a continuous solid line rather than a series of individual dots. This means I did not need to install an aluminum diffuser channel to hide the dots. I mounted the strip directly to the surface, and it looks smooth. This saved me the extra work and cost of buying channels. Brightness The 24V power makes a difference compared to standard 12V strips. It is very bright (4000 Lumens) and provides consistent light across the entire length of the strip. It is strong enough for general lighting, not just decoration. Color The 3000K warm white is accurate and looks good outdoors. Verdict This is a solid choice if you want a smooth light bar without needing extra parts. Just make sure you use a 24V power supply, not a 12V one. Pros: Even Light: No visible dots. Easy Install: Does not require a diffuser channel. Bright: 24V output is stronger than 12V. Waterproof: Good coating for outside use. Cons: None.

Review of TOPAI 24V COB LED Strip 5000K. This is a very decent strip. It matches to the top expensive brand in brightness (although this is not the brightest strip I tested). The color temp was spot-on at 5000K. It pulls about 1.27 amps at full brightness for the 5 meter (16.4 ft) strip. SInce there is NOT power adapter included, you will want a 24v, 2+ amp (48 watt) adapter. I think the 2.5amp is a common size. It is rated at IP65 which means can work in damp locations, but don't go overboard. It states a CRI of >90 which is good however, I don't have any way of testing for that. It is cut-able at about 2 inches. One end of the strip has the 2.1mm power adapter end. the other end is bare wire. This strip does NOT come with a power adapter nor a dimmer. Like all strips, it comes with adhesive on the back of the strip. However, do not trust it on anything short of non-porous surfaces (IE: Aluminum channel). You should use aluminum channel anyhow for the best adhesion and dissipation of heat. You will get longer life out of the strip. All in all, this is one of my preferred strips if ultimate-brightness is not required (IE under toe-kicks, bookshelves, etc). The price is really good for how it performed.

The 2-strand wire (black & red) is so much easier to wire to my 24v setup in my boat. I have these mounted on the back of my rod holders so that I can see the high visibility mono fishing line at night. The line literally looks like it’s glowing! It also makes rods that glow in the dark really pop! Did I mention that the lights here are BRIGHT??!!!

5 watts/meter if watts = volts * amps. (Note that Chinese watts are volts * amps * 2.) Silicone sealant looks good on top. The adhesive is fine for flat, clean metal or plastic, anything porous (wood or ceramic) you need cement or foam tape.

I used this stop to make lighted door handles. They came out a lot brighter than expected. The adhesion on this strip is very good as long as the surface is prepped properly. They’ve been in about a month now with no issues. They do put off some heat, but seem to be well made. They would be an easy install especially in tight spaces. Connecting them up was a breeze, would buy again!

Making a sign and used the cob light strip behind the letters. Lights work great.

These lights are bright. I put them on the outside of a trellis, they look great at night. I hope they last a long time.

Well not really a review but I could not get the lights to work he sent me another one same deal finally figured out their 24 volts and I need 12 volt so I will be sending them back hopefully you have this in 12 volts I purchased lots of lights and it would be nice to use these because they look much nicer

There are lots of COB (chip on board) led light strips but I was after something flexible that didn’t have uneven lighting. For the money this works very well and my electrician was able to solder this straight to the connecting wire for a proper led dimmer module. I have it in an aluminium channel which has a clip on diffuser on top and it’s great. Easily illuminates a room if you use 5m of it. You can do corners with it but they have to have a minimum curve of a tennis ball if you want it to lay flat and you’d also probably need to use clips as well. Self adhesive backing is strong. The actual strip seems waterproof as leds are encapsulated in a silicon strip but cut ends and power termination is not. Recommended.

Deze ledstrip hangt bij mij in de douche. Hij is gemonteerd in een zwart frame met een donkergrijze afdekking. Ondanks dat geeft deze strip voldoende licht voor mijn kleine badkamer. Ik heb ongeveer 7,5m gebruikt, de rest heb ik afgeknipt. Ik heb er geen dimmer op zitten, dus ik weet niet wat het effect zal zijn als dat gedaan wordt. Ik heb deze strip op een normale aan/uit schakeljaar zitten.
