We run both the xTool F2 Ultra and the xTool F1, and they each serve a very different but equally important role for us. The F2 Ultra handles our heavy production work, but the xTool F1 is outstanding for portability and mobile use. Being able to transport a laser engraver this easily and still get clean, professional results is a huge advantage. We use the F1 for on site engraving, events, quick jobs, and situations where bringing a full size machine is not practical. Despite its compact size, the F1 performs extremely well. Engraving quality is sharp and consistent across wood, leather, acrylic, and coated metals. The dual laser setup makes it flexible, and the lightning fast speed means you are not waiting around for small jobs to finish. Setup is quick, calibration is simple, and the workflow is smooth. It is the kind of machine you can take out of the case, set up, and start engraving without hassle. Build quality feels solid and confidence inspiring for something designed to be portable. Bottom line. The F1 is not a replacement for a large production machine like the F2 Ultra, but as a mobile, transportable laser engraver it is excellent. Its a good laser for general marking. My primary use was business cards, laser engraved photos and keychains. I upgraded to the F1 ultra not long after getting the F1. I still use it while the F1 ultra is busy with the heavier work. Overall its a good entry level laser that is very capable for its size, the price is reasonable for a fiber laser, the software is user friendly for the most part. Having both a diode and fiber laser in a single package has its advantages. The size can be a limitation but its good enough for most things.

I own several xTool lasers and decided to add the F1 to the lineup for my studio work. I have been thoroughly impressed by how well this laser works for my needs. The first big project I tackled on it was a run of customized anodized aluminum cards to create tokens for a game. The level of fidelity in the images it produced- the clean sharp lines for text, and even the incredibly detailed greyscale without using a dithering mode were really incredible and were a huge step up from attempting the same engraving on my D1 Pro while also being about 10 times faster. The framing tools were invaluable for being able to lineup the chipboard jig I made for project, being able to see exactly where the bounds were all at once made it so easy to get everything dialed in. The option to have the framing go to the exact shape of the design has also been very useful for some of the other projects I've run on it. The speed on this machine is crazy fast - it's fast enough that I haven't hesitated to incorporate customized parts into more aspects of my shipping materials like mailer boxes and envelopes as they each finish so quickly it takes so little time to make stuff a little extra cool. The air purifier is also a great addition to this device, it's really great to be able to run the machine on a table behind me in the studio and not have to stress about the smoke. All in all this is a really great device that has helped streamline and speed up a lot of the parts of my business I was using lasers for in general.

Great machine! Easy to use software. I love the fast you can remove a piece of base that allows it to be used with larger material. Great value for the money. Durable design compared to Creality. You don't have to worry about this falling apart. Easily movable. Super accurate laser and easy to use with the boarder feature.

It said it can engrave any metals but the settings does not include gold plated. The system says it is not available so you have to waste all kinds of products just trying to figure out what works. What works on one item might not work on another item either. Return policy stated we have 30 days to return but when you click to return it after already purchasing it, it says if used then they only give you 50% back if even. It will be based off the condition which in some ways I understand but in others how can you advertise it does all this engraving and cutting when there is no setting for it and a waste of so much materials and money. The return policy should state upfront right away if used in any way or open any bags, you won’t get full refund. When I try to cut wood it makes a fire and shuts off. I wasted so much wood. The filter fills up fast. I have tried this machine for less than a month and it wants me to replace filter already. It cost $109 to get new filter stuff. I read that we can wash it to get more life out of it which I did. Even with the air filter my room still smells like burnt wood. It’s not the easiest to line things up if you need it exactly in the middle for small items like jewelry. And if it is your first time like me using an engraver, to engrave on certain items you will need to buy an expensive spray to coat like glass or stainless steel in order for it to turn out. All the items I purchased this for is not working out and getting half my money back sucks so now I am just going to stick with it and see what I can do out of it to try and make money to pay for it. I am starting to realize now that all the YouTube I watched about the machine before I bought it they all got the machine for free from xtool so they obviously would say it’s amazing. So beware and don’t be like me. It’s not made out to be as amazing as you think it is.

Quick and easy set up and learning curve. Lots of on line support and tutorials. I have used it on bricks, slate coasters, wine glasses, tumblers and trophy plaques. Super fast and easy to use. Get the vacuum device if you do wine glasses or wood to prevent false alarms for fire detection.

Unbelievable laser abilities. Software is good and you can also use Lightburn as well. Don't be fooled by the printable area , it can do lots of things like coasters, metal tags etc.
