They are not the easiest point motors to in stall but the do work well if you are on a budget. There is no finesse about them

Replacement Point motor
Very good value for money, easy to fit to the layout.

A good basic point and accessory motor.
All worked as they should and I'm very pleased with them. You do however need basic soldering skills to attach the wiring so for newbies you need to be aware they're not 'plug and play' as some others are. It would also be nice if a spacer was included so the motor was held in mid position when fitting it. Still, a good buy and I'm very pleased with them.

Great product
These are a replacement for my hornby surface mounted point motors and I have to say they are so much more reliable, can be a bit fiddly to install but once in are perfect,I've got mine fitted to the hornby digital accessorie decoder and the work perfectly

Don’t risk it
A shame but these have been a waste of money, I’ve been looking forward to upgrading my points so the motors are finally all under the board and I’ve been let down. It seems it’s pot luck on getting a good batch. While there are many good reviews, all three of the ones I bought won’t throw the points, the pin is slightly bent where it was crimped into the solenoid and spins in the hole meaning when you operate it the solenoid moves fine but the pin spins and fails to move the point. I tried to straighten them with little success and then tried a small amount of glue on one but getting it to line up straight and not get glue in the wrong place was a nightmare. I’ve since found it’s a common fault that can occur during manufacturing. Not pleased! Now everything’s on hold until I find a solution or I can find/afford to buy alternative.
