Fantastic and reusable!
I was a bit concerned about the quality because of the other reviews but fortunately it wasn’t an issue for us. The pieces are small (each puzzle is 5”x7”and made of 80 pieces ) and getting them out of the box is probably the hardest part of the puzzles. We had luck pushing the tabs into the box along the perforated edge of the tabs (rather than pulling the tabs out) and then flipping the box up side down to use gravity to help us pull the bags out. It’s definitely not necessary but this way we’ve managed to preserve the calendar for next year without any damaged pieces. The landscapes are beautifully illustrated and very festive. There’s enough variety to keep things interesting while still sticking to a clear theme. I was worried 12 days wouldn’t feel like enough puzzles, but it actually worked really well to accommodate for days when the evening puzzle needed to be rescheduled because of other plans. Each puzzle took between 10-15 minutes and was challenging enough that by the time it got frustrating it was completed. It was so fun putting on Christmas music and making each of them - I highly recommend it!

ENJOYED IT TIMES 3!!! See my picture for locations of individual puzzles!!!
I am a big Michael Storrings Puzzle fan and when I saw this advent puzzle calendar, I purchased three - one for myself and two for family gifts. These were done by ages 44, 66 and 87 (3 generations!) and we each looked forward to doing a puzzle every evening. We started with number 12 on December 13th and counted backwards so when we got to #1, that would be Christmas Eve. Part of the fun was not knowing what puzzle we would get that night. We did have two different sets, though the 12 puzzles were the same. One set had a fold out with 6 pictures on one side and the other 6 on the other side. Two sets had individual 4"x6" pictures. Personally, I liked the individual pictures over the fold out. The two that had the individual pictures also had the same order of puzzles each night but the fold out one had a different order of the puzzles, which was a little disappointing that we weren't all doing the same puzzle each night but we will fix that when we put them back in for next year. Opening each little door to get the puzzles out was a little tricky. I found by using my fingernail and pressing in along the dotted lines worked the best. I did tear two a little bit at first and learned to go very slowly then I had no problem. I thought the puzzles were a nice quality. There were only two things I wish were different. First, that the puzzles would have come in reusable bags. We will do that ourselves but seems it would be easy to include. Second, there was a vague description on the back of the box as to what the puzzles were. I used some dectective work and got them figured out and I typed it up and gave a copy to my two gift receipients (I have included picture). I did find a couple of the puzzles had more than one name. For instance, the first puzzle (top left corner on the back of the box) is called Christmas Market on the 1,000 piece puzzle but the artwork was named Christmas in Dresden. Another was called Hockey but also Christmas in Canada. I went with the city/country names whenever there were two names. Hopefully I got them right! BTW - We had no missing pieces. Having done over 100 puzzles in 5 years, I have yet to have a missing piece, though my 87 year old gift receipient texted me and said he was missing two pieces on one puzzle - only to find them in the sofa cushion the next day! Overall, this was a hit and we will enjoy it again next year!

A fresh take on Advent Calendars
My wife and I love Advent Calendars and, every year for decades, we've had December-morning rituals of opening a number of these "daily" calendars. Typically, they contain a piece of candy (often chocolate), but we also have collected quite a few musical calendars that play different holiday songs each day. And we've had calendars with everything from popcorn to dog treats behind the little doors. In our quest for unusual calendars, we've somehow overlooked jigsaw-puzzle-per-day calendars until 2021. Maybe there were others available that we missed in the past. But suddenly this year, we wound up with 3 different jigsaw puzzle calendars via Amazon! This one is our favorite, although Advent-calendar purists will want more than a "12 Days of Christmas" selection. Clearly, to bring down the price of this calendar, the company went with the 12-day option. We're customers who would have paid twice this price to get a full Advent experience. Nevertheless, we were very happy to have had 12 days with these little puzzles. One helpful tip: Think about where you will assemble your little puzzles. The bane of jigsaw puzzle fans (and we are big jigsaw fans) is losing pieces. So, you need a safe surface. We have a "lap desk" that's designed for using a laptop so it has a lip along side. That's the perfect place to assemble these little puzzles, each evening, as my wife and I enjoy a little television.Next: Other reviewers have taken issue with the company's claim that you could re-use this Advent calendar over a number of years. Well, we are veterans of re-using Advent calendars and we have to say: This one is not going to last long if you don't take great care with it. Already in our first year of using this, we've had to use some tape to fix a couple of tears in the cardboard surface. That doesn't affect the puzzles themselves, but the open-a-door experience won't work if the colorful front of the calendar is torn apart.Next: This manufacturer did not think to place the puzzle pieces in zip-top bags. The plastic bags, once opened, don't reclose. Our "work around" is using either "snack" or "sandwich" size zip-top bags to hold the pieces after assembly. Both sizes work and, yes, you can fit the re-bagged pieces back into the container if you work carefully on the repacking.Happy to give this 5 stars. The puzzles are fun. This has given us five evenings of fun.

So fun!
I didn’t wait until December to start this! I did one tonight and it was such a great way to spend 20-30 minutes relaxing without screens. Puzzles scenes are adorable.

Cute concept, Mediocre quality
The photos are gorgeous, and we're enjoying the concept of a small puzzle a day. The difficulty level is enough to be worth sitting down for a few minutes with a cup of coffee, but no so difficult the household can't piece it together on a busy day.The quality of the printing on the pieces is not great. They're dull. The pieces aren't well-cut, it would be easy to make mistakes. My kids are a but frustrated with how loosely the pieces fit together.

So Fun!
I love that each puzzle is small enough to complete in one sitting (and still a challenge) so that I can do one each day as a countdown to Christmas! As well, as each puzzle is built, it contributes to a greater scene making it so fun!
