Recommended - a high quality book
This is an excellent resource, written by one of the leading names in higher education business and economics. Lots of useful material is covered and it is accessible yet detailed. I can’t understand the negative reviews as this is a very good book in my opinion.

It seems like the authors half written the book and couldn't be ...
This book is a total scam and shame on Cambridge to endorse it.It seems like the authors half written the book and couldn't be bothered to finish writing it and just went ahead to published it.When I first got the book, I thought they sent me the wrong book and thought it was a teachers' overview book. Most of the economics concepts they introduced with no explanation, no questions, no case study. Just totally bare bone of a 'book'.When they could be pull their finger out to actually provide an explanation, it is so badly written even an IGCSE economics textbook would be clearer than the absolute trash they wrote. My student read their attempt at their explanation of economics of scale and totally didn't understand the meaning because it was so convoluted. Ceteris Paribus is one paragraph of rubbish. Oh and they totally forgot about writing the Labour Market chapter and instead have 2 paragraph on it with a half arsed explanation of Monosony. Their 'explanation' of expenditure switching policy got all my students to think it is fiscal, monetary and supply side policies instead of devaluation, protectionism and subsidies etc Did I mention how they keep talking about tariff as fiscal policy as well and no diagram for Consumption function? The first thing I did when I joined the school doing CIE was to tell my students to throw this 'book' in the bin and burn it and got them to buy the Oxford one by Terry Cook.Of the three endorsed book by Cambridge the other two are miles better than this half finished book. If you can only get one, the Oxford one has got the economics concepts down but it is a tad dry. The Hodders one has better diagrams and examples but isn't as clear with the explanations. Either way, they are both better than this joke of a book.
