LOGAN5000 8-Ply Bevel Mat Cutter

I bought this to replace my Logan model 702 cutter, which didn't perform as well as I had hoped. The Logan 5000 is excellent, speeding up my mountboard cutting and giving a professional looking finish. It took a few practice cuts to judge where to align the start and stop lines, but once I had done that the cuts were consistent.Would highly recommend.

Although the product was worth the original price of £31 and I accepted the £14+ postage, I was horrified to have to pay a further £14+ for customs and VAT charges before Royal Mail would release the parcel. With the original postage, this doubled the cost of the item and I would not have purchased it if I had known about this additional Customs charge..

So easy to use with - this was a replacement for a lost cutter and exceeds the precision of the original, can thoroughly recommend.

bought as a present for my daughter so this is unused. cannot comment on the item.

Far superior to my original Logan cutter and when used with the Adaptarule is so easy and precise. Am pleased with equipment.

I can't believe I got this for a much lower price compared to my local art materials supplier! Heavy duty and works easilly & well. I was able to mat some of my works already.

I have been a fine art photographer for many years and I do all of my own mating and framing I used the logan 5000 mat cutter for the first time and it worked perfect I was reading the other peoples reviews it sounded like most people had difficulty I did not have this problem I made sure that I used blade # 271 and made sure that the depth was set right and the 5000 cut the 8 ply like butter.

Hatte mir das Gerät gekauft weil ich einen Ziehschneider wollte, der zu den Logen-Brettern passte. Nach einigen Einstellungsversuchen gelang es dann schließlich, dass der Schneider sauber in der Führung lag. Die LED in Verbindung mit der Schneidetiefe ist eine Spielerei und funktioniert nicht. Die Einstellung der Schneidetiefe erfordert viel Gedult - Logan muss hier erheblich nachbessern auch was die Bedienungsaleitung betrifft - jeder spricht eben nicht so gut Englisch, dass alles klar ist. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist meiner Meinung nach nicht gegeben. In den USA ist der Schneider um die Hälfte billiger und dies trotz Zollgebühren.

I purchased this mat cutter from Amazon because they had a much better price than a local store. It is the same thing and it works exactly the way you want it to, cutting your mat angle just perfect, take my word for it and get one if you are into making your own mats with the Logan system.
