While it’s a little bit on the DIY and figure it out side of things, it was mostly relatively straight forward to put onto my old bike. Just make sure you have tools for your bike, some patience, and you should be up and running, or riding I should say.The motor is heavy, and super solid feeling, pretty sure it would eat a crash with no issue.I put this on my older Specialized mountain bike, both the kit and the bike together still cost 1-2k usd less than a branded e-bike of relative comparative specs.On assist 3, i rode about 64~ miles before recharging when it got to around 18% left , and surprisingly it charges much faster than I expected it to.on my bike with its current gear ratio, and on flat ground, using throttle i can get up to 35mph, a tad on the scary side. A bit on the ludicrous side, as I pretty much only use it to ride to work, and enjoy light exercise to wake me up, it pretty much stays in assist 3 , as most of my trip is up hill. It handles hills very well, and never seems to struggle, I weigh about 140lbs.the light that it comes with is crazy bright, as i’ve rode home as it’s getting dark, the whole pathway is completely lit up

I’ve been looking for a good E bike at an affordable price for a long time. I knew I did not want a hub drive motor because of the low torque and problems I’ve seen with axles spinning and ripping out the wires. My only option for the torque I wanted is a mid drive motor. Many of these E bikes with mid drive motors are several thousand dollars and I did not want to spend that much money. I bought this conversion kit for an old Kona that I’ve had for many years. I now have a mid drive 1000 W electric bike for under $1500. Buyer beware – this thing has more torque than I expected. I’ve been thrown off the bike twice so far due to the front wheel coming off the ground and my slow reaction to grab the rear brake. I’m learning that you need to start out in the lower assist mode so it doesn’t do that. Starting out in assist mode five is extremely risky especially if you are facing even slightly uphill. Overall I give this thing five stars and I’m thrilled with the performance and range. If you are even slightly mechanically inclined I highly recommend this conversion kit. You can save a ton of money and still have the feel of the bike that you are used to riding. The kit comes with a few tools but not everything you might need for your bike. Keep that in mind. I had to buy a couple of things to take my bike apart. The kit was very easy to install in just a few hours. If I had to do it again I could do it in under an hour. I weigh around 240 pounds at 6 foot one, and this bike can pull me up any hill. It has pedal assist and throttle, and it seems like pedal assist gives you 75% of the power and when you add throttle you get the remaining power. The average bike rider probably doesn’t need 1000 W mid drive conversion kit, so you really should consider what you want. I’m sure that the 500 or 750 W machine would be just fine for someone my size who is just riding around town. That extra power extends your capabilities to dirt hill climbs and more extreme to rain. Take your time and learn how to safely ride with this mid drive modification because you can get seriously injured if you are thrown off the bike backwards. Also, be prepared to improvise battery location. My frame was too tight to install inside the frame so it had to go on top. I also had to buy a top mount battery bracket because I did not want to drill holes in my frame.

I normally don't write reviews so I don't know how much information I can provide. First, I'd like to point out that the sell took the time to message me to make sure what parts I needed. The installation is simple. There are a lot of YouTube videos of how to install it. For me, the most difficult thing was to get the old bottom bracket off. I was so worried that I would strip or brake something when I was taking off the crank arms; but nothing bad happened.Good things:I can now see why my state limits the wattage to 750. This sucker is fast and has tons of torque! People doing their research like I did might find that this system can do 30mph+. I didn't think that seemed fast. Umm, what they don't point out (in my case) is using 700x35c wheels. Trust me 30mph is fast enough!Negative things about my kit:I got the 750C display thinking the navigation feature would be useful. The only way to get it working is to hook your phone up to it with Bafang's app! The real problem is that the communication protocol isn't compatible with newer phones (mine included -1⭐) . But the power meter (Amp meter) it has is a good compromise.I will update this review when I have more time or I feel like I forgot something.

I Have ham radio equipment from this company. It worked great. To date I have had no problems. This is why I choose to buy their mid-drive motor. Not only did they deliver a superior product, but their customer service is excellent. Far beyond any retailer I have had experience with on Amazon. I have emailed back and forth with them. They are very accommodating, answer all of your questions, and adapt their mod to your specifications.

Very cool project. Not for people looking for "set it and forget it". Good E-mountain bikes are $2,500+ and require you to get it fixed at a shop or warranty. This is a DIY hobby and if you like working on bikes, it's a blast. The result of this kit and a GT Aggressor from "richards" sports store. And a few other odds and ends, along with a 10ah battery was well worth it. Just use the motor to get you through tough spots or extend your ride to double. Don't treat it as a dirt bike and throttle the entire time blazing past people. This just makes people hate e-bikes. Be sure to order a shift cable sensor and the $20 programming cable (the stock pedal assist levels are not great). A few adjustments to the settings on a laptop made this run incredible. Youtube some videos on installation as well as programming the controller a bit. Have fun.

Hi there,I bought the BAFANG BBSHD 1000W BBS02B 750W 500W Ebike Motor LCD Speedmeter Electric Bike Conversion Kit and battery from Greenergia.I made an incorrect measurement on the bottom bracket of my bike before I ordered the kit. When recieving the kit and attempting to install the motor, I realized the motor was too small to fit through the botttom bracket of my bike.I reached out to Greenergia, told them what my issue was and asked if there was anything they could do to help.Even though I was the one to mess up my measurements, Greenergia was still very eager to help please the customer being me. They had me remeasure the bottom bracket and send them a picture of the measurement to ensure this time it was correct. Then they walked me through the steps of sending the package back before sending it back to them.I received the replacement motor kit yesterday and I couldnt be more happy with the product.I am extremely satisfied and over the top impressed by Greenergia's customer service abilities.Thank you again.

You can get these Bafang Ebike kits from several Amazon vendors. The product is very good for the price I highly recommend it.I did have a issue where the battery I ordered would not fit the bike (my fault). Greenergia was very helpful in letting me exchange my battery for a better fit. It was also helpful that they have a warehouse in VancouverSo shipping was pretty fast.

It has only been a few days however I am liking it. Although easy I strongly recommend a proper set of bike tools are a big plus when it arrives..

This 500 watt motor is very impressive. This has enough power to get me up grade 7/8 hills. I didn’t even have to use the throttle. I like level 3 on my DPC18 control panel. My cadence works perfect at 17 mph on level 3. I watched YouTube video to change to imperial values. Easy to use. My bike is very light and it added maybe 10 lbs. I am still able to lift and put into my SUV. 750 Watts would be overkill for me so this size was just right. I had a bike store install for me and it was done well. For someone 60+ years old, this is a good motor.
