Sounds great on PS5 and PC
I’ve used a bunch of different mics from Hypercast to Blue Yeti to Audio Technica. Honestly, they’ve all been great but they were all condenser so external noise was always present when party chatting. When I needed a new mic I decide on this dynamic Shure mic. They’re pretty much the most popular mics right? And for good reason. I’m no pro so didn’t go all out with the SM7B and this seemed liked a good middle ground and it’s been great.Great construction quality and simple design with a nice weight to it. It’s not so sensitive that it captures background noise loudly and having the mic up close captures your voice perfectly. Nice and crisp with good clarity that just has a different sound to other mics.I’ve been using it on my PS5 connected via Elgato Wave XLR and works without issues. Also have it connected to my PC via Minifuse 2 audio interface with cloudlifter and no issues there either. Definitely recommended if you want want a high quality mic without breaking the bank too much.

Works great for dictation...
I have this running through a Focusrite Scarlett Solo and it works very well. My dictation program is Dragon Naturally speaking, though I'm assuming it would work well with any program. Great buy.

Works great for me.
This is my first XLR and I've really enjoyed it so far. I see a lot of reviews saying it's too quiet, and I'm not sure what they're doing wrong. I haven't had this issue at all, and I'm definitely a novice regarding this stuff. You do need to buy a cable and an audio interface so that does add up... I went cheap on the interface for now, and it still works great. This is the XLR version only, so there is no USB option or controls on the mic itself, but this is a good way to jump into trying a trusted brand XLR on a moderate budget.

This IS a great microphone...but you need more hardware and some patience.
I got this set up fairly easily and was using it right away. Was generally impressed with the audio quality. Here was my issue. We need to realize that it's all subjective - what "sounds good".The real question to ask is, what is the audio experience you're going for?If you want to SOUND like a podcast, this is nearly perfect. But you'll need to have some sort of vocal processor or preamp hardware in order to really get it. That's not too big of a deal, but you start getting into more fine-tune settings than others are willing to deal with. But realize: sounding like a podcast is not a singular science. Do you want it to sound like a pre-recorded, somewhat "perfect", slightly deep sounding rich vocal experience? This one does it.That sound wasn't what I really wanted, because as a listener, it feels phony. That's where this microphone lacks JUST A BIT: is in the clarity, the "naturalness" of your timbre as it comes through the output. Can you get it there? You can certainly get close if you tweak your hardware. Then it comes into proximity to the microphone vs. gain vs. output levels and whatnot, and I started to get tired of it all.Eventually I fell back to a Rode NTG-1 that didn't need the excessive settings, and sounds crystal clear. For examples of how it sounds, you can find my review of the dbx 286s where I have a how-to settings video with my unprocessed audio come through from the Rode NTG1.Again, this is a GREAT microphone...if the way it sounds works for you, and it very well might not. You won't know until you get it, tweak whatever settings, etc.

Best mic I've ever used, period.
I've owned many mics ranging from $20-$70. Most of them were bad, some were alright. Heck, I even got a $150 dollar headset and the mic was really bad even though it was said to be amazing. So I decided to take a gamble with this SHURE mic... This really puts "You get what you pay for" in perspective. This mic sounds so good! I'm someone who constantly has a fan running in the background so I invested into a cloudlifter and the result? The crispiest sounding mic I've ever used! Please not that this is an XLR mic, and requires these things to use:-PC-AUDIO INTERFACE-XLR CABLE
