Perfect size for fitting into the smaller size clay pot. I made a gift of a pot, peat pad and a pack of seeds. Very easy to use and good price for the quality. Not sure if it's organic. Holds moisture well, no dust and the seeds sprinkle on top or push into moist tablet. Made well.

These work extremely well and make potting new seeds or seedlings a snap! I place two of these in a small terracotta pot, add some water, and instantly have great seedling starter soil. The mixture retains water well and doesn't dry out. These little pucks rehydrate very quickly, meaning that less than 60 seconds from the time you start adding water, you'll have very fine, perfectly moist planting/transplanting medium. I use these for planting in larger pots as well, but for those I use standard potting soil to take up most of the volume. I then hollow out a center hole, place one of these little pucks about 2 1/2 inches deep in the center, add water and wait less than a minute. I then have nice fine, moist planting medium in the center of the soil mass so I can place a seed or sprouted seed easily.

I like that they are compressed… I like that they are small, individual pieces… I like that once water hits it, it begins to break down.. I like how easy it is to break it up and distribute it as needed… And I like that there are fifty pieces of it, which is more than enough for my flowers 💐.

I use these for planting cat grass seeds.

I recently purchased some self watering pots and wanted to use these at the bottom under potting soil to help absorb water without getting water logged. The pictures show the relative size of the pellets and how much they expand. The expansion process is quick - just soak in water. Within a few minutes they'll expand up to around 5 times the original size. This work also great for seed starting or for rooting small cuttings!

Love the way they expand and give you a lot of soil to plant in but nothing have grown in it yet! I've planted at least 10 different flowers and vegetables and nothing ground in it! They grew well in regular soil.
