The Complete Stories Volume I

Valuable addition to anyone's sci fi bookshelf,stories by classic sci fi writers, good content, entertaining and enlightening content, good range for all ages, good for broadening minds and outlooks of any sci fi fans, you will not be dissapointed, be prepared for thrilling amazing entertaining reads......... Mr.T.

And my one complaint is that the Complete Asimov short stories were abandoned after a mere two volumes,there are 300 or more stories that could have been reissued as part of the series,including his mysteries,long out of print,alas.That such a giant among SF(and other genres) should be in such short supply these days,limited to mainly Foundation reprints,and the Robot stories(all great,admittedly),is nothing short of criminal neglect of a great founding(Foundation?) father of the entire SF universe.Personally,I have written to Library of America and Everyman to ask for this to be addressed,but it seems I'm one lone voice,and easily ignored.

The stories in this edition are great, but I'm mainly writing this review to clear up some confusion with the title.While labelled 'Volume 1' on the paperback cover and in this Amazon listing, this is actually the first half (25 stories) of what is otherwise and canonically considered as 'Volume One' (48 stories) of Asimov's short stories. The second half (23 stories) of these can be found in 'Volume 2' with a similar cover.It seems that the actual more widely considered 'Volume Two' of short stories (40 stories) was not released with this style of cover at all, but you may find different editions elsewhere.

Lots of short stories so I could read at leasure

I love all these little short stories! Each one gave me pause for thought about the world and were very well written! Never read any Azimov before this and thoroughly enjoyed it! Great writer who was clearly ahead of his time.

When it comes to scifi, Asimov is the master.Every story is well thought out and original, many of them have little morals; probably all of them will make you think.And of course "The Last Question" is really beautiful.I think Asimov with his short stories caters for the more scientifically inclined, more the thinking mans writer, but even still a layman with no interest in science would still be able to grasp the subject matter through good story telling.

Such a shame kindle file has random page numbers in the middle of text and blatant typo errors. Considered Asimov was greatest sf writer and this contains some of his best ever stories it is a shame it is hard to read them

The book arrived in great condition

A few days back I saw Isaac Asimov's book reviews from one of my oldest friends on bookstagram and was completed fascinated by his works. Reading about his background I found out that he is considered as the grand master of science fiction and founder of robot ethics in fiction. 20 out of the 25 stories were awesome while almost five of them were not worth it. The dead past, the immortal bard, the gentle vultures and the last question were the best among all these stories. I would suggest this book to every sci-fi plus future oriented stories lover, totally worth the 7 8 days I spent on it. Thanks eeveereads to make Isaac Asimov come into my mind because of your recent reads.

This is a great collection of Asimov Sci-Fi short stories. If you enjoy classic Sci-Fi and are ready to journey into early and mid XX century imagination, this if for you. Some classic stories and Award winning ones like Nightfall are included. HAd this book when I was a kid, and I bought it again now that I am 48. Watch out this is a Big and Heavy book.

O livro tem a marca de qualidade do grande Asimov. A edição, infelizmente não está à altura dos textos. Ele tem inúmeros erros de digitação como palavras grudadas umas nas outras. sem espaços entre elas, falta dos parágrafos, números de páginas no meio dos textos etc. é necessário que Amazon e a editora corrijam tais erros em respeito ao escritor e aos leitores.
