Small, barely adequate b/w photos of hundreds of largely unremarkable African items, which contribute to a book with all the passion and fascination of a automobile repair manual. Includes a CD-ROM, which is a boring electronic version of the boring printed book. This work probably took a lifetime to compile, but that just makes it all the more sad. Do yourself a favor, save your money and buy the same author's far superior book on the tribhal art of Africa :  African Art
