Needed these to match existing. But MK are the best

I installed a whole load of MK sockets 35 years ago when I rewired my kitchen. They are all still working perfectly. So, MK is the brand for me when it comes to electrical fittings. This socket is a very modern take on those I bought all those years ago. The top plate is a sheet of metal, but there is no rim so it will fit flush against the wall with almost no protrusion. The finish is a mirrored gloss that, at least with handling out of the box, seems quite resistant to finger marks. The switches themselves are not of the same stuff because fingerprints are left behind here. A brass ferrule lining to the screw holes provides the earthing connection between the front plate and the earth from the house wiring. The wiring connectors are solid and well-designed. Much easier to get at than my old sockets. There is Live, two Earths, and Neutral from right to left, centred in the back of the socket. Screw connectors are slightly angled away from the vertical and accessed from above. It also feels very solid and looks as though it will last twice as long as my older versions.

This is a well-made double socket that features a mirror-like chromium finish. The shiny finish means that it is a fingerprint magnet so it is probably best used in areas that aren’t touched regularly, otherwise it will need to be polished regularly.The socket has a very slim design, with a thin metal plate at the front. The rear electrical terminals are easily accessible. Unusually, it comes with 2 earthing terminals in addition to the live and neutral. However, these are connected by a metal plate so there it is fine just to use one.I swapped out my old white plastic standard MK socket for this new socket. It took a matter of minutes to fit and was easy to screw to the backbox to create a finish that was flush with the wall. It has really brightened up the room and is well worth the upgrade. Very impressed.

I remember working for a company which supplied MK with boxes for their electrical products some 40 years ago. These days they still have an excellent reputation and wide distribution. I was very pleased to see that they still have a manufacturing base in the UK, as this is where this particular switch was made, although some at least of their manufacture is now in the Far East.This is a very smart double socket with a mirrored chrome finish. It fits on a standard double socket box and installation is quite straight forward. Clearly of excellent quality, the plastic workings at the back are very solid. It fits very neatly, flush to the wall. Very smart in a modern setting it does the job and with the manufacturers confident enough to give it a 25 year guarantee, it is clearly a quality item, though certainly not the cheapest on the market.

A great looking, neat & flat socket front that completes a sleek decor.This fits just like a every other socket front does, when fitted it lies flush with the wall and doesn’t stick out.The chrome finish is neat and stylish, but does show finger prints.It is the usual mk quality and works exactly as you would expect a good brand to do so.

this is a well trusted brand and one of my husbands favourites. its superb quality and you can tell the difference right away compared to cheap models. it fits well and quickly and looks great.
