I bought the drafting chair to use when I'm doing my various crafts. I do many different types of crafts which means I am in a variety of positions to perform the various techniques to create my various craft projects. I wanted an adjustable chair that I can use in whatever way needed for a particular project. My husband got me an amazing, huge "H" easel which is adjustable to handle tall & large canvases. I also have a regular desk, a glass top tilting desk, a folding table & an art cabinet with retractable table. I provide this info only to say this adjustable drafting chair accommodates all of these various set ups & it is very comfortable for me to work on my projects. I highly recommend the Smug drafting chair to anyone shopping for an adjustable drafting style chair. It is durable, comfortable, easy to operate & meets the demands for multiple types of projects. The Smug drafting chair is also stylish, well made with foldable arm rests, a thick comfortable seat as well as a back that offers surprisingly good lumbar support. It's base is sturdy with 5 legs on wheels making it easy to move around. I'd buy this Smug drafting chair again if I need another desk chair in the future.

Excellent drafting chair for the money. I waited 5 months to fully test it out and here's the upshot: well-built, clear assembly instructions, excellent fit and finish, comfortable, nice seat and back support. The only improvement I would ask is for padded arm rests, but this is a wish, not a complaint as it was advertised properly.

Great for my standing desk and countertop height work station. Comfortable. But, I weigh 165 pounds and the chair drops a few inches when I sit on it .. I wonder if it will later just not stay fully up..

This is a comfortable chair, the back support is wonderful and it’s very sturdy. It was very easy to assemble, no extra tools were needed.

I love how high and low this chair goes! Its super smooth, no squeaky sounds. I’ve been using it for 2 months now. It doesn’t get stuck. I highly recommend, it’s high quality and the price is fair!
