FOR OLD EPDM REPAIR
WORKS GREAT TO REMOVE OXIDATION ON REALLY OLD EPDM RUBBER ROOF. LASTS FOR 100'S FT. SCRUBBING BEFORE APPLYING PRIMER AND PEEL AND STICK FLASHING OR SPLICE TAPE. IF YOU CAN SCRATCH THE RUBBER OFF UNDER YOUR FINGERNAIL IT IS ANCIENT EPDM, BUT THIS GETS 30 MINUTES OF SCRUBBING DONE IN A MINUTE OR 2. """""VARIABLE SPEED GRINDER REQUIRED FOR EPDM ROOF""""

Good deal, and the proper size.
These are actually 4.5", whereas some others that I have found are slightly undersized. Don't buy from another seller to save a few measly cents per unit. These are a good deal! I used these (red) for taking corrosion and clear coat off of aluminum wheels. I was very impressed with them, the only complaint that I have being they tear easily. If you have to work around sharp edges, like a hole in a wheel, either work with an abundance of caution or expect it to take them down pretty fast. This is just a part of the design - they are soft and flexible to conform but that inherently means that they do not hold up well to ripping forces. The backing material is relatively soft, it is not a grinding disc like it looks. I would not advise scraping the back on parts to be cleaned up if they are aluminum or softer, but an accidental bit won't cause much harm. If you need to take it down to expose more pad edge, I found I could run the backside against something hard and wear out some of that until the pad was exposed again. They also work very well to remove rust, paint and more from automotive bodywork. They are fast! Softer materials like aluminum will be satin finish when done, and show some very light but consistent scratches throughout. Nothing deep, and easily polished out later with a proper buff pad and product.

They work, but leave a residue on aluminum.
I bought these to polish aluminum motorcycle cases. On a 4-in grinder, they leave a residue that needs to be removed. I've mixed thoughts about these. I don't think I would buy them again for this purpose.

Awesome
I used on my 4½ grinder to clean a tub that had serious hard water calcium build up. This was alittle over kill for that application but planned on repainting and sealing the tub. These worked great and really stood up. After a good hour of working with the highest grit I compared to a new one and it only showed about ⅙ to ⅛ inch of wear. I also use the softest grit with little pressure to scuf for the paint coat. Worked awesome.

Melts when used
Melts instantly when you touch it to metal. Not what I was expecting. Once melted, it's difficult to remove. Can not use at all. What I should have ordered is something called a (Interleaf Flap Wheel ) Why did you pick this product vs others?: It's cheaper but still not useful for anything. Polishing ability: none Durability: melts instantly

Do not waste your money if you’re using on bare metal that is meant to stay bare. I used these on rims and what a mistake. I was using a different product and ran out so thought I would try these as they can go on the grinder which I thought would speed up the project. I read the reviews and they seemed good so I took the plunge. This was my final stage and unfortunately these discs stained the metal. I tried washing it off but it didn’t come clean so I had to strip the layer of the metal. Very disappointed. See the video, it shows different angles to ensure you see that it’s not a reflection.
