I have a cat and dog that I groom. The thin skin on my senior arms always bruises and sometimes bleeds. These are great protection and fit right without slipping.

The skin on my forearms is tissue-paper thin and tears easily. Since wearing these protective sleeves I have not had any injuries and the skin appears to benefit from moisture retention with extended wear. The sleeves stay in place and help to keep bandages on wounds in place. The black hem at the top is tight, but you can probably cut it so it doesn’t strangle your arm. I have small arms so it wasn’t a problem, but when I was 30 years younger, the black elastic band would’ve been like a tourniquet and very uncomfortable, maybe even harmful. I didn’t have the courage to try cutting through the fabric with a knife; maybe will try it when I’m ready to throw them out. I bought these for their good price, but I also considered their resistance to cutting.Addendum: I took the time to cut the black hems off of all the sleeves; no easy task. The hems have a rubber band sewn about the circumference at each end of the sleeve, and indeed, were cutting off the flow of blood to my hands and causing discomfort, swelling, and concern. I took more than an hour to cut through the material and thread to get the black hem off, but I’m much more comfortable in wearing the sleeves about 18 hrs a day.

My forearms have become thin skinned , and because easily. These arm guards fit fine. Very sturdy. Not pretty. But do the job.

Beginning in my mid-40s the skin on my arms became tissue-thin, prone to tears and bruises. After decades of this, my forearms are scarred and dappled with brown spots where bruises left melanin deposits which causes me to want to keep my arms covered all the time but for some reason tops in my size tend to seldom come in long-sleeve unless you're talking about turtleneck sweaters so my forearms are usually exposed against my wishes. Im so tired of, "Oh! What happened to your arm?!" Additionally, part of my job involves filing and moving files around and more than once, I've had the hook end of a Pendaflex divider sink into my arm and tear my flesh. Now for the good news; I now wear these sleeves whenever I'm at home (where I tend to get most of my bruises on cabinets, doorknobs, etc) and whenever I'm working in the file room, and at the moment the only bruise I have is on my hand. I haven't yet worn them in the dead of summer but so far, they haven't made me feel hot, which was a concern for when I'm lifting full banker's boxes in the file room. As a matter of fact, they have a slight cool-to-the-touch feel. I keep one pair at work and the other two at home. I also purchased a retin A cream and am making progress on fading the existing melanin spots. I really, really wish I'd known about these years ago.

They seem like they’d work good but I have to pull them up over my elbow, as they do not fit small arms well.

I bought these because my skin is thinning and tears easily. So far they have worked great and they wash up easy. I ordered the small and I am a bit oman 5'7 and 165

I love my sleeves. I wear them when doing yard work and really protects my arms!

They itch other than that they work good.

Ya cuando pasan los años, la piel se te adelgaza mucho, principalmente los golpes en los brazos, en mi caso, son frecuentes. Estas magas te protegen de esos golpes, lo malo es traerlas puestas todo el dia.

Sleaves are smaller than expected, however they do the job o protecting my forearm.
