I like the peppermint smell and I like how my hair feels after I use this. I don’t know if it rids the hair of old product, but it does coat and moisturize. I use it in the shower once a week.

This hair mask works well for me as a hair and scalp treatment if used occasionally (no more than once a week or so). I have long, baby-fine hair that is oily near the scalp and dry and damaged at the ends. I wash my hair every day and it tangles very easily, so I also condition it frequently so I like to use a mask for deep conditioning and to help with any build-up. This mask has a fairly strong minty fragrance that lingers for a while but doesn't seem too overpowering. It is off-white with a lightly grainy texture and feels rich but isn't too heavy. It seems to rinse out well, and it does leave my hair soft and manageable, but it doesn't do much as far as de-tangling. And it tamps down the volume of my hair. This mask works much better for me if I just use it on the ends of my hair so I still have some much needed volume. I have used it two or three times a well in this way. On the few times I did use this mask as intended, I did not experience any irritation. However, as someone with sensitive skin and scalp, I do think the full list of ingredients should be shown in the product description. I went to the brand's website for this information, and as it turns out, there are a few ingredients I would prefer not to have in my hair-care products, so while I will use up the jar, I won't be repurchasing. I ordered this mask in the four-ounce size, and it arrived sealed in a rather generic plastic jar. It seems a bit pricey to me, especially in comparison with the much more cost effective eight-ounce version. I do appreciate that this product is made in the USA.

Used this after hair dye and it made my hair buttery soft

I was really hopeful for this product to do what it said, but it wasn't an a even good conditioner. My hair felt dryer and not even like it was conditioned after using this product. It smelled like peppermint after using, but that is about it. I was left with, what felt like, grains of sand on my scalp as well. I could feel those in the mask as I was putting it in my hair and figured they would evaporate while on my head or while being rinsed out, but nope, still in and on my hair and scalp. Also, this mask burns a little while you have it on your head.Now to the hair loss part. I have been searching for something to HELP with my slight hair loss issue. This product made it soooo much worse in just one use. I received it yesterday and used it last night. I left it on my head for a while to let it "condition" my hair and then I rinsed it out with warm water. What you see in the pictures is after ONE use of this product. I am scared this product has done more damage to my follicles than helped.I am returning it.
