Hydronix CB-25-1001 Universal Reverse Osmosis & Drinking Systems Coconut Carbon Block Water Filter, 2.5 x 10-1 Micron

I bought one of these to use in a house with a rain-water collection system. I will be buying more for sure. These are perfect for a the 1 micron filtration level. I've had some cheaper filters from the big box hardware stores but they were of clearly inferior quality and tolerances. I also like that these are made in Taiwan and not made in China.

I recently made a mistake by buying a 3-pack of carbon water filters on Amazon because the price was much cheaper in comparison to Hydronix.Those "bargain" filters lasted less than one week EACH and we could taste our horrible tap water...I kid you not!Threw those out, (could not return) and bought Hydronix, a brand I have purchased before, and we're very happy with the taste of our water now.

Have been using this brand for years and have been very pleased with my tea and coffee.

Did not reduce TDM to an acceptable level.

Works like all the other Hydronix filters I use. Very satisfied.

this is a high quality filter...I use a 1 micron poly filter in stage one to take out the rust and particulates, then this 1 micron carbon filter for flavor...end up replacing first stage poly filter about 3 times to 1 for carbon...I've been using Hydronix since 12/18...the price has gone up since then but so have most things in this economy...it is still a great value

Judging from the weight of this filter and the fact that it weighs roughly 1/3 of what a regular name brand filter would weigh... this item is clearly a piece of junk. Spend another dollar or two and get a filter that will last 3 times as long as this. Additionally, these sellers have placed their SKU sticker right over top of the pertinent information on the original sticker like directions for use, micron size, etc....I will be testing this but I feel confident in saying now that this is not going to remove anywhere close to everything above 1 micron. My guess is that it will remove 10 micron and larger for about 50 gallons and then it will basically be trash.
