We used this book to form a plan for church security. I thought it was pricey but it is worth it. It's not just reactive, but proactive and provides thoughtful ideas for anxiety reduction in all workplaces. FEMA has a great "What do we do now" manual but Dr. Siegel's book is all about avoiding and reducing trauma and how best to integrate internal policies with external first responders. It's a great source for houses of worship.

Dr. Siegel has written an excellent reference book that should be used in every organization. The book is intended for employees and managers within organizations. The basic concept of the book is that violence is a risk issue for the organization to address. As a risk issue, every member of an organization can help address violence. I strongly recommend this book.
