Perfect
Great way to try different colors. Especially helpful when you're not a professional, but enjoy playing with pretty; it's nice to have a smaller size and options. Wish there were more options at this smaller size.

Great price ,great value
I made tiles to see how the glazes looked when fired. What I learned from doing that was that it saves in not having to clear glaze it if I want a flatter glaze look or clear glaze for a glossy look..

Gorgeous glazes!
Easy to apply, holds well, and fires beautifully! The colors and textures are beautiful, and the Copper Adventurine has tiny flecks of metallic gold in it that show up wonderfully when fired. The pictures of the fired glazes do not do them justice. They are much prettier in person. I am very pleased with these glazes. It does take 3-4 coats to get the full effect of the glaze, but it is worth it. Instructions say 3 flowing coats, and they mean it. But wow! they make pretty fired ceramics. I highly recommend this product.

Spillage
I was crossing my fingers that my glazes would arrive intact. Unfortunately, it didn't work.

Great quality, and perfect earth tones at low fire.
I bought this set for my first grade students' fall leaves project because a few of the colors would work for the "fall leaves" effect. The copper adventurine ended up being my favorite because it has a golden sparkle to it on top of the copper color. The wheat turned out to be best on something with texture. On something flatter it just looked like there was a coating of honey mustard. The sea green looks oily with green spots which was a really awesome effect on the leaves. The burnished steel was shiny without being runnyBut the mirror blue left a few holes on my smooth pottery. The patina is matte and smooth.

Ruined my pieces
The return window just closed by a day. I did not see the results of this glaze since I have my ceramics class only once a week and just got my pieces back. I brought these glazes specifically for some special gift pieces I was making. The instructor fired to Cone 05 and the results on my pieces were terrible as you can see. Other classmate's pieces all came out. Instructor asked to read the label on my glaze bottle, thinking I brought for the wrong Cone firing, but she said, no, it's bad glaze. The rest of the class member's pieces using mostly Duncan glazes all fired and came out well. We use the same clay and I was the only one that used this Mayco Elements glaze.Worst than the wasted money for these glazes, it the pieces I lost that were presents I was to give next week : (

No red colors
Some of these are nice but none that appear on the red/orange/brown come out that way on cone 5 on red/white clay. They come out blackish. So does the dark green one: The blues are good and the steel color is great. Like a matte steel black. Do test tiles before you commit to a project is my recommendation these seem finicky. Could be me though so I’m giving 4 stars in case but would do 3 if I had more faith in myself.
