This can protect 1-6 devices with standard-size plug, but "fat plug" might be misspelled as "flat"
The new entertainment center sits very close to the wall, so the plug on normal surge protectors won't work. We needed one with a "flat" plug that angles the cord downward, rather than straight out from the wall. This one advertised a flat plug, and the six inline outlets should work OK for the devices we need to protect. It can withstand a significant surge, which is unfortunately common in Florida. This has a 4-foot, braided-nylon cord, which works for the entertainment center and should be fairly durable. The cord was a bit stiff out of the box, but a little bending loosened it up enough. The "flat" cord seems like an inch thick, which is more "fat" than "flat" but still better than standard cords for the intended purpose. The white color matches the entertainment center, though I suspect most would prefer black for this intended use. The shiny plastic case doesn't scream "quality," but who notices surge protectors beyond the color? There are screw mounting slots on the back, but no information about the distance between them so you'll have to measure or use a piece of paper to help with this installation.I'm not sure how to simulate a surge, so I couldn't test the reset feature. The switch appears to be an on/off switch, so it's not clear how the reset feature works. Maybe the "Protected" light will be off when the switch is on, and turning it off and back on will reset it. Unfortunately, there are no instructions on the KMC website, which I wasn't able to locate this product. But similar products also had no instructions or information on this. I guess I'll turn off and back on when there is a surge...Overall, it seems well made and suited for use protecting the entertainment center devices from surges.

heavy duty braided cord and comes with 2 strips
When you pick this up the first thing you notice is the cord. It's heavy duty. No worry about fraying or anything, it's flexible yet stiff to where it bends. I'm not worried about the cord failing. The "flat" plug is pretty thick for a flat one, I have ones that are thinner...not saying that's a bad thing, just a comment. It's probably necessitated due to the thick cord.It can fit up to 6 plugs, and the power switch is a little recessed, which will prevent it from accidentally being turned off and the switch has enough resistance that just a brush against it won't flip it either. If you need a power strip, it's hard to argue against 2 for this price when you factor in the warranty that you hope you'll never need to use.

Very happy with my purchase
I only had one plug in my living room so I needed to plug up my bakers rack in the kitchen and the cord was just long enough to do the job. Very happy with my purchase. It does what’s is supposed to and so far no shortages or anything.

Good deal on nice power strips
These power strips are in my office and I love them. They seem very well built - the power cords are beefy and have a nice ‘fabric’ feel, and the angled plugs are nicer than average. I like that they have some surge suppression built in, and six outlets are plenty for me. My only criticism is that the power switch feels a bit cheap - otherwise they are very solid power strips. No USB charging ports or smart features, but they are still a good value for the price. Highly recommended!

Basic power strips, with an on/off switch and an almost too-hefty cord
These are fairly basic power strips, with basic surge protection (1080 Joules) at the lower end of the acceptable range. (FYI, recommended range is 1000J to 2500J) There are no USB outlets or any extras, just the basic six 110V AC outlets. The plug is flat, so it can fit behind furniture. . . but the cord exits the plug to the lower left, while most power strips have the cord attached on the lower right. Odd, but not a problem. There is an on/off switch, which is very nice to have, and a nice LED indicator to let you know you’re in a protected status. There is a warranty for connected equipment. . . but I hope I never even have to try to claim it.The one issue about this power strip is that the cord is really thick and stiff. It’s so stiff that you can’t get it to lay flat, and it forces the power strip to move away from the place you want to put it. I hope the cord becomes more pliable with time. The cord definitely seems thick and durable, but not really flexible. The outlets themselves are also super stiff, and require a lot of force to plug things in (but then the plugs are held very tight). It’s nice that you get two for the price, which is a fair value for each.Overall, I’ll give this surge protector 4 stars. The stiff cord really is difficult to deal with, surge rating is near the lower end of the acceptable range, and there are no USB outlets. But it does have a switch and low-profile plug. Overall, I’m pleased with it.

Flat to wall plug in power strip surge protection
When you need your furniture to butt up to the wall but can't because old-style surge protector plugs stick out from the wall, you need to invest in this new style because you can put your furniture closer to the wall without a huge gap. Sometimes it's a pain to deal with the old style, and they are still useful in areas that don't need to worry about how far it sticks out from the wall the new style fits more flush and is less likely to fall out because it is not sticking out any so no tripping over it by pets or walking by. There is a switch on it to toggle when the breaker has been popped, or the power goes out and it saves your electronics from getting ruined during such incidences. Protect your TV, DVD payers, Game systems, and more. Push the switch and it will activate the plug bar power strip back to on mode.
