Not the use I intended for them but they worked perfectly when I had to change my design plans. They are drilled through my bottom rail with the balusters sitting over top of them.

I ended up using two different drill bits as the caps have a larger diameter than the bolts. Other than that, they worked well when I used them to attach two bookshelves together.

Clean, right sized bolts - perfect from the wall hangings and wooden artwork that I was working with. The material is clean and free of burrs and fits well without any extra resistance. Very reasonably priced for these bolts since many are rather expensive.

I used these to sandwich foam board between plywood and 16-gauge steel. I didn't want studs sticking out on either side so these were perfect. I did use washers on the plywood side to prevent these fasteners from pulling through. I'm glad that I found them.
